Good News! HB 103 Passed In Senate; Next Stop: Governor Sununu!

House Bill 103 is on its way to the Governor’s desk. The measure calls on school districts to develop policies to give parents advance notice of course material concerning human sexuality. You can call the Governor’s office at (603) 271-2121 and urge him to sign HB 103 when it gets to his desk!

Concord, NH — The House deadline to pass a budget is April 6th, and the Coalition of New Hampshire Taxpayers is very concerned. Over the past four years, we have seen a net increase under Gov. Hassan of $310 million (2014-15 budget) over the (’12-’13) budget and a $554 million (2016-17) budget over the prior (’14-’15) budget. Now we are facing a House Budget that potentially could be a $700+ million increase.

Now that we are facing the budget horizon, we have seen little evidence that the House is crafting a conservative budget. In fact, it appears that the House is committed to running the State aground financially, and they are preparing to do it, full-steam ahead.

Kate D’Adamo was picked to lead the New Hampshire Human Trafficking Collaborative Task Force. But as noted here, D’Adamo is a national advocate for legalizing prostitution, and the two are intimately connected.

Decriminalizing pimping and the sex trade would tie the hands of investigators. The buyers and the sellers would be able to continue their devastating business, while victims would have no clear way out.

This morning the Union Leader reported that on Monday D’Adamo publicly advocated for legalizing prostitution again to the dismay of at least one New Hampshire House rep who said, D’Adamo’s support in that role makes it look as if the Task Force favors it too.

NH1 News has a nice scoop about voter fraud in NH’s 2016 election where thousands of-out-of state voters tipped a US Senate seat – but they drink some of the standard NH voter fraud Kool Aide in the story. Too bad. Still, they now have a lot of the issues out in the open regarding the State of NH policy letting non-residents vote.

In this article, the NH Secretary of State claims there about 458 returned same-day voter affidavits of people who voted in on November 8, 2016, without any form of identification. They simply filled out an affidavit claiming domicile at a given address. The ridiculous idea, taken as gospel in NH, that an adult who has attained the age of 18 can show up at a polling place on Election Day without ANY form of identification is simply voter fraud itself.

Donald Trump’s budget removes taxpayers from mandatory tithing to the National Endowment for the Arts. Arts advocates in New Hampshire are preparing to mobilize to fight for the one million they stand to lose. But since it’s just a million, why not ask the Clinton’s for it instead? They were huge supporters of the often fringy, offensive, but still taxpayer funded National Endowment for what passes for Arts.

Or, they could bypass the Clintons, who collected somewhere between $10-$25 million from the Saudis and go right to the Kingdom for a handout.

The refugees and immigrants who come to America to escape poverty and oppression need safe haven.  The vast majority of them are good, hardworking people, and how they get here is unimportant.  Compassion for immigrants overrides federal immigration laws.

That represents a basic tenet of the liberal mindset, the force behind sanctuary cities.

The number of sanctuary cities expanded rapidly during Barack Obama’s administration.  The Washington Times reported in 2015 that there were more than 340 sanctuary cities in America.  This year, it reported that the number had grown to nearly 500.  According to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), 279 municipalities refused to cooperate in at least one case during 2016.  That resulted in the release of more than 2,000 illegal immigrants that ICE had been trying to deport.

Those who support the notion of sanctuary cities should consider these points:

1.      Sanctuary cities violate federal law.

As it currently stands, the budget will exceed $12 billion for the first time ever. The cost of running state government will be about $9,000 for every man, woman, and child in NH. Is your family getting its money’s worth? BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -Three teenagers were killed Monday, shot by a man as they were breaking into his home. Officers say it happened at a home near 91st and Clearview Drive in Wagoner County. The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office said the homeowner and his adult son were in the home when three males wearing masks and gloves tried to break in at about 12:30 p.m. The homeowner’s son shot the intruders with a rifle, deputies said, killing all three.

“These three individuals came to this residence with the intent to burglarize it,” Deputy Nick Mahoney said, “One was with brass knuckles, the other one was with a knife.”

Breaking and entering.  Brass knuckles aren’t used for love taps and I bet that knife wasn’t going to be used to carve a heart with an arrow through it on the mantle.  No, these “Smart as a dead rock” thieves meant to do harm to those that wanted to protect themselves and their castle.  However, it does seem they proved that old adage of “Never bring a knife to a gun fight”, especially if you are the one starting it.

The New Hampshire Department of Education has released a document listing the cost per pupil for public school education in New Hampshire. The report provides details for each district (or SAU) in the state based on these parameters.

The Cost per Pupil represents, with certain adjustments, current expenditures from all funding sources (local, state and federal) associated with the daily operation of schools. Payments to other school districts and private schools have been subtracted. Revenues from the sales of lunches have also been excluded. Cost per Pupil is calculated by subtracting tuition and transportation from K-12 current operating expenditures, and then dividing by the average daily membership in attendance (ADM-A). The report “State Average Cost Per Pupil and Total Expenditures” identifies which expenditures have been included or excluded. The per pupil amount of all expenditures – operating, tuition, transportation, equipment, construction, interest and non-K-12 expenditures is $17,648.76.
