(Not Unexpectedly) Haiti Official Set to Testify Against The Clinton Foundation Found Dead

Clinton Body CountZero Hedge is reporting that Klaus Eberwein a former Haitian government official who was expected to expose the extent of Clinton Foundation corruption and malpractice next week has been found dead in Miami at the age of 50.

No one should be surprised by this. Or this,

According to Miami-Dade’s medical examiner records supervisor, the official cause of death is “gunshot to the head.“ Eberwein’s death has been registered as “suicide” by the government. But not long before his death, he acknowledged that his life was in danger because he was outspoken on the criminal activities of the Clinton Foundation.

He was set to testify next Tuesday.

Medallions: individuals are now suffering the result of yet another Government distortion of the Free Marketplace

NYC cab medallionNo, not the kind that goes around your neck or on the wall.  No, this is all about NYC cab medallions – and why? Gosh, doesn’t this resemble the housing crash of 2008? Or in similar ways, the problem with the healthcare marketplace being taken over by Government? Or what Government did with “restructuring” the auto market industry?  Or…..well, you get the picture of where I could go with this as it seems that Government has inserted itself everywhere (emphasis mine, reformatted):

Ride Hailing Is Being Blamed For Taking Down Credit Unions In New York City

It was always obvious that ride hailing (or ride sharing) apps such as Uber and Lyft were going to cause big problems for the cab companies. The traditional taxi operations (and their unions) were either going to have to up their game and offer better service or they would go the way of the dinosaur. But in New York City, the rise of this new business model is being blamed for the downfall of some lenders who specialize in catering to the cab industry. The Associated Press has the details.

Superlative CNN journalists – they know a LOT

CNN Counterfeit News NetworkOr at least they think so.

They sure thought they knew it all during Trump’s just concluded trip to France. You know, I’d love to call it “fake news” but it isn’t – this is plain getting it wrong at a news company that has $1.2 Billion in revenues and over 4,000 employees. You’d think that they could get basic, commonly known facts. First, the most egregious one:

CNN Anchor Poppy Harlow Calls Star-Spangled Banner French National Anthem On-Air

Jobs Americans WILL do when there are no immigrants around

H-2B VisaGood things coming from our neighbors to our East in Maine – workers actually lobbying for a LOWER minimum wage because it is in their own self-interest (go read it as I’m not going to comment on it other than this line which I’ve blogged about in other areas where Governments that have sent the minimum wage arbitrarily sky high: ” first, that it would force employers to raise prices on their menu items, which could affect their current tips; and second, and perhaps more importantly, that employers might be forced to cut servers’ shifts as a result.”).

The second? What happens when there is only the native population left? What happens to that horrible saw that goes “[Illegal] immigrants doing the jobs that Americans won’t do?”

Americans take those jobs (emphasis mine, reformatted)

Snopes.com is not exactly the blessing to truth and transparency it claims for itself. Few on the right trust it to which we may now add a few on the left, assuming the progressives don’t try and burn it to the ground for this. The Lies of Donald Trump’s Critics, and How They Shape His Many Personas.

There are many articles that exist detailing lies and misleading claims made by the Trump administration. This article is intended as a neutral, reliable analysis of the lies, false allegations and misleading claims made about and against Donald Trump since his inauguration in January 2017. We’ve attempted to strip away the hyperbole, name-calling and generalizations, and examine the patterns and trends at work: what characterizes these lies and exaggerations, the effect they have, what might explain them.

Update: the continuing self-destruction of the Episcopal Church

Shield_of_the_US_Episcopal_Church.svg

“…Liberal Christianity has been hailed by its boosters for 40 years as the future of the Christian church. Instead, as all but a few die-hards now admit, the mainline churches that have blurred doctrine and softened moral precepts are declining and, in the case of the Episcopal Church, disintegrating.

…Somehow slipping out of the headlines is a harsh reality that the denomination has been deserted in droves by an angry or ambivalent membership. Six prominent bishops are ready to take their large dioceses out of the American church and align with conservative Anglican groups in Africa and South America.”

I used to write a lot about the “Mainline Protestant denominations” and how they were crumbling even as they denied that their foundational and Biblical doctrinal changes were the reason why. I just came across a post that updated the sorry state of the Episcopal Church – and the leadership still hasn’t learned the lesson as they win battle after battle against their local churches and refuse to see they are losing that war. They moved from being Biblically oriented to driven by all of the SJW tenets of the day: open borders, gay marriage, less about God and more about the world, to the point of rejecting why they were “in business” (which was saving souls through Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross).

If you no longer believe that Jesus is the Son of God, well, you’re just a country club with ornate windows and an expensive old-fashioned organ but without the greens, tennis courts, and pool.

DISQUS Doodlings – once again, Environmentalist proves they hate humans

They get so upset when they get found out when they let slip that their whole idea is that humanity is the evil that plagues Nature and GAIA (the quaint notion that Earth is a living being).  And then they get upset when we merely observe what they say – and repeat it.  The sick thing is, most of them really mean it like this commenter over at Treehugger (here).  Screenshot:

What Happened at Evergreen College Is Just Another Step In the Journey to the Promised Liberal Utopia

evergreen-wide-tree-no-city-greenIf you want to make an omelet you have to breaks some eggs, so the saying goes. That’s true for the progressive utopia too. But what they don’t tell you, what they can’t tell you, is that before they deliver the promised harmony and unity and self-awareness of a centrally planned economic caste system from which you can never escape, but that they will run, you have to break everything.

Part of what breaking everything looks like was on display at Evergreen State College this past spring. Evergreen descended into literal anarchy complete with SJW mob rule, terrorism, kidnapping, racism, assault, and battery. Sanctioned by the elites who stood by and did nothing, perpetrated by an army of people steeped in the modern cult of diversity and inclusiveness.

Senator Rand Paul – the GOP isn’t going to keep its promise on Obamacare repeal

Rand PaulI don’t agree with him all the time but on this, I do.  The GOP made a singular promise, over and over, for seven years.  Now, like the dog that finally caught the car, they don’t seem to know how to govern.  Which is to say, keep that promise, to completely repeal and replace Obamacare, that they made to us and we gave them the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.  Here’s what he had to say (H/T: Breitbart, reformatted and emphasis mine):

I miss the old days, when Republicans stood for repealing Obamacare. Republicans across the country and every member of my caucus campaigned on repeal – often declaring they would tear out Obamacare “root and branch!”
What happened?  Now too many Republicans are falling all over themselves to stuff hundreds of billions of taxpayers’ dollars into a bill that doesn’t repeal Obamacare and feeds Big Insurance a huge bailout.

Obamacare regulations? Still here. Taxes? Many still in place, totaling hundreds of billions of dollars.

Insurance company bailouts? Those, too. Remember when Republicans complained about Obamacare’s risk corridors? Remember when we called the corridors nothing more than insurance company bailouts? I remember when one prominent GOP candidate during a presidential debate explicitly called out the Obamacare risk corridors as a bailout to insurance companies. Does anyone else?

Data Point – US economic freedom keeps dropping

When opportunities to advance are hindered, people are less free. Recent troubling survey data, as well as the econometric data of the Heritage Foundation’s Index of Economic Freedom, support the notion that opportunities and economic freedom are declining in the U.S. A Gallup poll in 2006 found that 91 percent of Americans were satisfied with the … Read more

These parents shouldn’t be allowed ANYWHERE near kids

Mom and babySeriously – We have to ask babies PERMISSION to pick them up – and then let THEM pick their “gender”???  And then they wonder why college kids are just jerks now, just WAIT to these bunch of adults-to-be grow up.  Admittedly, my primary child-rearing days are 30 years in the rear-view mirror but given that TMEW and I are raising our grandson, I’ve been looking at these kinds of posts with absolute horror – really, who really is in charge here, the babies or the parents (yeah, take one guess – right: no one).  If this is an indication of what’s going to happen in the future, God help us all.

Example #1: Always ask your baby for permission to pick them up.  Even if they have no idea of what you’re saying.  Because RAPE CULTURE!!!! (reformated, emphasis mine):
