University Retreat Called Off Because of a Banana Peel Found in a Tree

the-benefits-of-banana-banana-peelEach generation wonders about future generations. What should we make of this?

A Greek Life retreat at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) was promptly canceled this weekend after a banana peel was found hanging in a tree.

“To be clear, many members of our community were hurt, frightened, and upset by what occurred at IMPACT,” Interim Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life Alexa Lee Arndt remarked in an email between Greek leaders, according to The Daily Mississippian. “Because of the underlying reality many students of color endure on a daily basis, the conversation manifested into a larger conversation about race relations today at the University of Mississippi.”

The peel was present because a student could not locate a trash bin and decided to toss it up into a tree instead. In doing so he culturally weaponized it, turning it into a banana peel of “Greek retreat destruction.”

Learning, Teaching, Funding, and Education

By Rep. Dave Testerman

In New Hampshire, most public school funding originates in the pocketbook of local taxpayers and most of us hope we elect a local school board that watches out not only for the students but also the taxpayer. It doesn’t always work out, but we have had some very good board members in Franklin.

A much larger problem has occurred at the State Board of Education level. Unfortunately, our state has appointed State School Board members for 18 of the last 20 years that loved regulations and micromanaging our public schools.

With backing by the NH School Boards Association and the School Administrators Association, the pressure on local schools and Superintendents has been to simply comply with whatever the DoE and the State Board said…or else. Frankly, it hasn’t been working. So what has been the effect on school funding?

Carol Shea-Porter’s “Very-Fine” Deception

Michelle Obama - Carol Shea-WhoOn August 18th, New Hampshire Congressperson Carol-Shea-Porter proudly announced her Co-Introduction of an Anti-White-Supremacy Resolution aimed at President Donald Trump. In a press release titled ‘Shea-Porter: President Trump’s Charlottesville Comments “A Disgrace to Our Nation,” ‘ she says,

“There are no ‘very fine’ neo-Nazis. I never thought we would hear such disgusting and outrageous comments from a President of the United States – comments that were immediately praised by David Duke, the former leader of the Ku Klux Klan. Today’s comments from President Trump are a disgrace to our nation,” said Shea-Porter.

That’s great except that Trump never said Neo-Nazis are ‘very-fine’ so David Duke can’t possibly have been thanking him for that.

U.C. Irvine Prof. Calls For Selective Censorship to Reign in ‘Cheap Speech’

Diversity Speech policeIn an August, 18th Los Angeles Times Op-Ed, Richard L. Hasen, the Chancellor’s Professor of Law and Political Science at UC Irvine, offered his insight into the problem of “cheap speech.”

Framing the context in an opening paragraph that fingers White Supremacists in Charlottesville, President Trump’s twitter feed, and Facebook, Hasen warns,

The rise of what we might call “cheap speech” has, … fundamentally altered both how we communicate and the nature of our politics, endangering the health of our democracy. The path back to a more normal political scene will not be easy.

You’d think the Chancellor’s Professor of Law and Political Science at UC Irvine would know we don’t live in a Democracy, but let’s not choke on small bones when we have much bigger fish to fry.

Nancy Pelosi Finally Denounces AntiFA Violence

Antifa - looks like ISIS with different color flags
Antifa – looks like ISIS with different color flags

This has been a long time coming.

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts,” the California Democrat said in a statement. “The violent actions of people calling themselves Antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.”

Is it possible that the minority House leader has had a vision? One where using the actions of violent thugs to advance the Democrat Parties “all Republicans are into White Supremacy” narrative is beginning to backfire?

Can’t you really hide your hypocrisy a bit better, Ray Buckley?

N.H. State Democratic Party Chair Raymond "Buckles the Clown" Buckley
N.H. State Democratic Party Chair Raymond “Buckles the Clown” Buckley

Ray Buckley, Chair of the NH Democrat Party, has a missive in the Concord Fishwrap about we plebes voting.  Thus:

SHOT:  My Turn: Fighting back against disenfranchisement

This week the New Hampshire Democratic Party filed a lawsuit against the voter suppression bill known as Senate Bill 3. We refuse to stand idly by while Republicans try to strip away voting rights based on lies.

…SB 3 exposes eligible voters to criminal penalties simply for failing to understand or comply with confusing paperwork. It makes you sign a different form if you’re registering 31 days out as compared to 30 days out. It makes you prove not just that you live here, but that you intend to stay here.

If you can’t provide that information more than a month before Election Day, you will be turned away from registering. If you can’t provide this information within 30 days of an election, you will be subject to voter fraud investigation, including government officials knocking on your door and asking to see your papers.

CHASER: “…asking to see your papers.” Democrats must show ID

  • to attend and vote at NH Democrat annual meetings
  • to attend and vote at the national DNC conventions

There is no way or technique to get “vouched” later, right Ray? Like SB3?  And aren’t you being discriminatory with that whack about “confusing paperwork” – nice way to word your bigotry of low expectations that your voters can’t deal with stuff like…..getting an ID?  How well do they really like being “low browed” as you categorize them as having the minds of little children who can’t do “complicated”?  My, such a way of viewing your base!

The hypocrisy, it’s dripping off your chin, Ray…

So, Does Manchester Mayoral Candidate Joyce Craig Support AntiFA?

Antifa- we will tread
Antifa – Not Shy About their Intentions

Yesterday I pondered the mysteries behind the appearance of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti in Manchester New Hampshire, questioning why he’d come cross-country to support the mayoral candidacy of Democrat Joyce Craig. Today we may have an answer.

“The next generation of leaders that comes up has to have that practical experience. Not just saying what we’re against, and not just saying what we’re for, but having the guts to do it.”

You mean like AntiFA?

Data Point – Traffic deaths….Colorado….pot

Just thought I’d leave this here:

big cannabis marijuana plant detail

Traffic fatalities linked to pot are up sharply in Colorado

Federal and state data show that the number of drivers involved in fatal crashes in Colorado who tested positive for marijuana has more than doubled since 2013. A Denver Post analysis of the data and coroner reports provides the most comprehensive look yet into whether roads in the state have become more dangerous since the drug’s legalization.

It shows that Increasingly potent levels of marijuana were found in positive-testing drivers who died in crashes in Front Range counties. The trends coincide with the legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado.

And I find this….well, I’m thinking that the operative phrase may well be “self-serving”:

(Still Not) Ready for Hillary – The Book Tour!

Still Not ready for HillaryHillary lost because she was a lousy candidate, but that’s no reason not to try and make money on it. So someone wrote a book for her and put Hillary’s name on it so she can cash the advances. (She should not plan on too much in royalties. Outside of gag gifts and Clinton Crime Family Cult Members–which includes everyone in the media–no one else cares why her ghost writer thinks she lost.)

As part of this repeat-defeat cleansing ritual, she will be stopping in New Hampshire. Joy.

Data Point – Americans believe true Freedom of Speech is lost

By Steve Mac Donald | Watchdog Arena What does a town board have to do to get a boondoggle passed? How about institute a policy to silence its opponents? Salem, New Hampshire town selectman Stephen Campbell is the only member on the five-person board to question a proposed $23 million bond measure to fund a new safety complex. The other four board members wanted the project. Campbell, who had been using his personal Facebook page all along to communicate town business to the larger public, took to social media to share his concerns.Again, this is very scary time for American Exceptionalism – it shows that the Progressive Totalitarians are winning at turning this country inside out:

…Citizens are wary of speaking their minds, a new poll suggests. Many Americans are opting to stay quiet in an intensified culture of political correctness fostered by activism and often biased media coverage. “Few Americans think they have true freedom of speech today and think the country is too politically correct,” reports a new Rasmussen Reports survey.

Demographics: Changing the Focus of A Country

Demographics-future-trends-binocularsBy Rep. Dave Testerman

I want to talk about why we should be concerned about immigration, particularly from Muslim countries.  Frankly, it’s all simple math.  When the majority of the population is different from the original ethnic mix, it changes the focus of the country.
