A good guy with a gun; variant on “Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition”?

holstered-gun1

To that latter phrase: When Pearl Harbor was hit in a surprise attack at dawn, in 1941, the scattered American forces were pinned down by the charging Japanese Zero planes. The legend says that during the attack one army chaplain was among the defenders who were returning small-arms and machine gun fire on the oncoming fighters. In the heat of the battle, he was asked by the men to say a prayer for them, as they were afraid that those were the last moments of their lives. It is said that the chaplain lay down his Bible, manned one of the machine guns and shouted: “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition”. This gesture boosted the morale of the soldiers and they continued the defense of the harbor.

Once again, a man of the cloth invokes his God-given Right to self defense when his home was broken into (emphasis mine, reformatted):

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. – A family is safe and a home invasion suspect is in the hospital after a shooting.  Deputies said a homeowner fired shots at a man breaking into his house. It happened Thursday morning on the 800 block of Santa Fe Trail in Cherokee County.

Where, Oh Where, Have Gloria Allred and That Fake Year Book Gone?

beverly-young-nelson-1113-year-book-exlarge-169Gloria Allred is a fixture in American politics. She tries her victims in the court of public opinion in last minute smear campaigns. Posing as a real attorney she has no intention of going to court. Her job is done when her target has been destroyed.

After showing off some poor woman who possessed a yearbook with a clearly altered copy of US Senate candidate Roy Moore’s signature – she has disappeared from the limelight.

2017 Democrat Thanksgiving Talking Points

cartoon-turkey-clipart-best-xkutsp-clipart

You know, for the Democrat Fanboys and Fangals that shudder at the idea that they may have to (yuck!) talk with non-Democrat relatives and friends (yeah, I’m a BIG hit at these gatherings!).  So like clockwork, I get these things and I was really looking forward to it.

Would it be about defending the sex-crazed power-imbalanced Entertainment donor class?  Or would it concerning the indignity that Trump won and how to protect their over-regulation of our lives?  Or that we should all be thankful that abortion kills 500K children/year and how we are protecting our environment from the added burden of CO2 loading? And how we should be arguing that our money is really their money and teach us all how to win that argument that “We built it” with a lesson from US Senator Elizabeth “Fauxcahontus” Warren?  Actually…

Data Point – Energy costs for NH are high for a reason!

Looking at both gasoline and electric prices for the 48-contiguous states and weighting each the same shows that Louisiana and Oklahoma have the nation’s lowest prices for these two essential energy staples. Louisiana’s combined gasoline and electricity prices were 37 percent below the national average while Oklahoma enjoyed a discount of 33 percent below the national average.

Paying the most for electricity and gasoline were Connecticut and California, at 76 percent and 75 percent above the national average, respectively.

And here in NH?  Behold!  We’re not California or Connecticut but why the heck aren’t we more like Texas (or even Oregon)?

Combined gas and Electric costs as percent of American Average

With retail electric sales of

NH Dems Continue to Ignore the ‘Pervasive Rape Culture’ in Their Own Party

hassanclinton

On Friday night, New Hampshire Democrats held their annual Kennedy-Clinton dinner. That’s John F. Kennedy, the womanizer and philanderer who brought prostitutes into the White House, not Teddy Kennedy who drove a woman to her death and then was revered by Democrats for decades. And Bill Clinton, the man who not only abused his power over women but was accused by multiple women over decades, of sexual assault and rape; not Hillary Clinton who victimized her husband’s sexual assault victims.

Sexual Assault Accusations Are “Timeless,” Right, Ray?

Ray Buckley

Ten years ago, doesn’t seem that long when you look at the alleged sexual assaults and improprieties being aired every day on national news sites, radio, and print.

This story below is about an internal investigation by the Democrat Party of still serving Democrat Party Icon Ray Buckley’s alleged behavior with campaign staffers ten years ago. An anonymous letter that was circulated at the time becomes relevant again seeing as 2017 seems to be “The Year of the Revelation of Sexual Abuse.”

So RedDiaperBaby and Jeemo, what say you now about Obamacare costs? Start groveling with abject apologies

So commenters RedDiaperBaby and Jeemo Glewton didn’t believe my reporting on a couple of acquaintances of mine lamenting on the extremely high cost of their Obamacare plans as this year’s version is soaring in price (“So he works simply to pay his Obamacare bill? A “Have” paying for the “Have-Nots”).  Jeemo outright called me a liar as if I was just making stuff up. Both Progressives belittled both poor souls with arguments that they should go and become employees instead of owning their own businesses or just go “bare” and eat the penalty (right – Progressives showing their true sense of “compassion” for those that must suffer the failings of Progressive policies) or other ways of getting around my main point – the Affordable Care Act is absolutely not affordable if you are not being subsidized by taxpayers.

Well, here’s more of what I brought up.  I guess “Jeemo” is just going to call the NY Times liars as well, eh? Jeemo and RDB, just look at the costs being reported – they are STAGGERING (Emphasis mine, reformatted):

Middle-Class Families Confront Soaring Health Insurance Costs

Consumers here at first did not believe the health insurance premiums they saw when they went shopping for coverage this month on HealthCare.gov. Only five plans were available, and for a family of four with parents in their mid-30s, the cheapest plan went typically for more than $2,400 a month, nearly $30,000 a year.

Pat Long Gone

buhbyeWard 3 Manchester, NH Alderman Pat Long lost a seat on that board by just seven votes out of over a thousand cast. That is a close race.

I wonder if Pat Long has any second thoughts about elections and “one man one vote” now that he has time on his hands?

It wasn’t that long ago Alderman Long was interviewing me on Girardatlarge.com Radio. The subject of voter fraud came up, and we discussed it in detail.

Bubba Might Be Guilty of Sexual Harassment When It’s Politically Convenient

Bill Clinton in NH - No Reports of Sexual HarrasmentThe Judge Roy Moore “situation” has come at a predictable moment in a critical US Senate race, during a spasm of progressive guilt over the sexual abuse they’ve tolerated (see also hidden) in their own ranks.

The public sexual harassment bloodletting has finally made its way down to the likes of William Jefferson Clinton. A man still being honored by New Hampshire Democrats (last night, in fact) despite the sudden 180 on Bubba by some liberal politicians and progressive media.

Report That Declares Huge “Rise” in Hate Crimes in NH Leaves A lot of Details Out.

FBI

New Hampshire Public Radio reported a surge in the number of hate crimes in New Hampshire for 2016. In sounding the alarm, they quote lower figures for previous years and link to a statement by the Anti-Defamation League not just decrying the rise but insisting that hate crimes are still under-reported.

Sadly, no one takes time to point out that the rise is probably a result of expanding what can be reported as a hate crime and what constitutes a single incident for reporting purposes. And that’s without even getting into the subjective nature of what could constitute a report of a hate crime.

Lawyer In Seattle Tax Dispute Says ‘Income isn’t Property’

Seattle - Image-WikipediaSeattle imposed a high earner tax, and both sides are in court fighting for the right to tax or to not to be taxed. The city wants to take other peoples money. The people who earned money would rather not part with it. And in the midst of this fight, the lawyer for the city said,

…what’s preventing a state income tax is an interpretation — a wrong interpretation, Lawrence says. Because, he says, income is not property.

“It comes to you; you then take it and turn it into property — whether it’s a stock or bond or a piece of property — but it’s a very different type of thing,” he says.

What a load of rubbish.

$17 Million for Legislative Branch Harassment

Al Franken groping a sleeing womanBurn it all down.

Since, taxes and budget items were all the rage on Capitol Hill before the sexual harassment by “Grope ‘em While They Sleep” Al Franken (pictured, right) and the alleged “teenage girl mall stalker” Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, we might as well keep in mind the budget item for settlements and awards to the victims of harassment by Federal bureaucrat– $17 million. It’s a small sum in Washington, but not to me.

Hassan and Shaheen to Attend Dinner Revering ‘Serial Sexual Assaulter’

hassansheenbillclinton

Tonight, New Hampshire Democrats will hold their annual dinner at which they honor two womanizing philanderers, one of whom was accused by multiple women of sexual assault, including rape. The annual Kennedy-Clinton dinner will take place in Hollis and Democrats don’t seem to have any issues with revering these men, even during heightened allegations across the country about women who have been sexually assaulted by politicians and men of power in their beloved Hollywood.

“Racist” is the new “Witch”

Monty Python - Witch

By Jim Kofalt

There is a very funny scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail in which a crowd of villagers drags a hapless woman before the local knight (Sir Bedemir) proclaiming that she is a witch and demanding permission to burn her at the stake. When the woman proclaims her innocence, Bedemir points out that she is in fact “dressed like a witch.”

“They dressed me up like this,” she says, pointing at the angry mob. “And this isn’t my nose; it’s a false one.” “Well we did do the nose,” says one villager… “and the hat. But she is a witch.” Sir Bedemir asks them point blank: “Did you dress her up like this?” The crowd answers: “No, no… no … well… yes.  Yes, yes, a bit, a bit.” It’s obvious after all that the mob has no interest in facts. They are determined to burn a witch.

Fast forward to 2017. Steve Bannon comes to Manchester, New Hampshire to give a speech at a fundraising dinner for the 603 Alliance – a local group that aims to restore Constitutional values in government. As soon as the event is announced, the village mob swings into action on social media.

The wages of Socialism

SHOTVenezuela finally admits it: The socialist country is bankrupt

Venezuela, given the odd detail of counterclaims, has finally admitted that it cannot pay back the debt it has. That is, the country is bankrupt. It’s worth leaving aside exactly what happens next in the halls of banking and asking how this all came to be? The answer being that they entirely wrecked the economy of the country with the world’s largest oil reserves. This happened not because the oil price fell, the problems started and were evident long before that.

They tried to create a non-market economy, and non-market economies simply do not work. For things just cost what they cost, something that we cannot sweep away in the pursuit of social or economic equality nor for any other reason……And in Venezuela, the Bolivarian socialists decided that prices were just made up numbers that could be assigned at near random. This does not, to put it mildly, work.

CHASER: Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher

The Problem with Socialism is that you eventually run out of Other People’s Money”.

Disqus Doodlings – Sorry, but Sandy Hook parents have no right to sue gun manufacturers

adam-lanza-school idI seem to be using the Concord Monitor as a foil more and more as of late. Guesses are, they’re fairly easy to puncture, like yesterday. They ran a piece from Bloomberg that seemed to plead for the parent’s right to sue Remington.  Remington is the parent company of Bushmaster Firearms which made the semi-automatic rifle that Adam Lanza used to kill school-children AFTER he murdered his mother to gain access to her guns. The parents sued Remington previously but PLCAA (Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act) denied their suit.

The parents’ money-grubbing ambulance-chasing lawyer, however, thinks he can spend their money to gain fame for himself with a “cutesie” line of attack. What caught my eye were these comments by the parents’ lawyer.
