Pope Francis doesn’t see his irony on how “foreigners to the Vatican” are welcomed

Vatican WallThis from a guy who lives behind a 39 foot high wall:

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Pope Francis strongly defended immigrants at his Christmas Eve Mass on Sunday, comparing them to Mary and Joseph finding no place to stay in Bethlehem and saying faith demands that foreigners be welcomed. Francis, celebrating his fifth Christmas as leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics, led a solemn Mass for about 10,000 people in St. Peter’s Basilica while many others followed the service from the square outside.

Yes, he is preaching – let everyone into your country on his say-so. After all, it’s the Christian thing to do.  Yet, this:

Security was stepped up, with participants checked as they approached St. Peter’s Square even before going through metal detectors to enter the basilica. The square had been cleared out hours earlier so security procedures could be put in place.

Gee, Mary and Joseph were never metal detected and

To Silence One Commissioner NH Democrats Would Use The Government to Silence Them All.

Pajamaboy Pappas
Pajamaboy Chris Pappas, Codename: ‘Francis’

The NHGOP sent out an email today on the easily triggered, toll-hike loving Chris Pappas, complete with a quote from a Union Leader Editorial.

“For some reason, Frank Edelblut drives Democrats at the State House completely crazy.

Edelblut recently tweeted to Executive Councilor Chris Pappas about the Cyber Robotics Coding Competition, using a phrase Pappas had used to attack the Republican tax bill. Pappas threw a fit, alleging that Edelblut was “using an official account to tweet about an issue in the political arena.”

Lighten up, Francis.”

The UL editorial takes my suggestion from yesterday one step further.

#20. Krauthammer’s New Comedy Routine – Not So Funny

February 9th, 2017
I just watched Charles Krauthammer on Fox News do his current routine – President Trump had no business stopping peaceful looking people from arriving from seven nations that have never had anyone commit terrorism here in America.

Democrats Suddenly Don’t Want Public Education Used as a Political Weapon?

Frank Edelblut
Original Image: WMUR

Dave Solomon, writing in the Union Leader, opens a State House Dome Column titled “‘Edelblut bill’ aims to restrain commissioners” on the matter of Democrat-sponsored SB 466. The Legislation is supposed to keep the State’s Commissioners from engaging in political activity like running for or holding elective office, serving as the officer of a political party or political committee, using his or her name in support of or in opposition to a candidate, participating in or contribute to political campaigns or acting as a lobbyist.”

The State Democrat party, lending its voice to Solomon’s article, proceeds to beclown itself in epic fashion.

The state Democratic Party issued a statement on Friday accusing Edelblut of “systematically transforming the New Hampshire Department of Education into a political weapon.”

Democrats suddenly don’t want public education used as a political weapon? Seriously?

Trump’s “Christmas Eve Gift” to the UN. Cut US Contribution by $285 Million

Trump UN SpeechAs a big hearty “Thank” you to the UN for the 128-9 vote to declare Trump’s Jerusalem Embassy move null and void, the Executive and Chief sent an early Christmas present to the American People.

The UN’s budget has been slashed by more than $285 million, according to Ambassador Nikki Haley, who said the cost cuts gutted the organization’s “bloated management.”

On Sunday, Haley said the trimmed-down budget would mean increased discipline and accountability throughout the international organization.

Virginia Considers Joining RGGI Money Laundering Scheme

It looks like Virginia needs more revenue. They are plotting to join the Regional Greenhouse Gass Initiative (RGGI). It also has returned $2.8 billion to those states from the auctioning of permits allowing power plants to emit carbon dioxide. That money mostly goes to renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, which helps the environment and … Read more

I still don’t get the Progressive’s “toxic masculinity” but I do like Watter’s treatment of it

EPIC trolling by Fox News’ Jesse Watters on this topic by having a Ph.D candidate, Anne DeLessio-Parson, who maintains that eating meat is  perpetuating “toxic masculinity”.  Best as I can tell from reading the blogosphere, that’s basically third wave militant feminists doing more man hating and hating the fact they haven’t feminized men to act they way they want (er, subservient). Yeah, sure – I suppose that the Eldest serving in Iraq in the Marines and the Youngest with the 101st in Afghanistan would be prime targets of these self-deluded full of themselves “speakers of twaddle”.

Anyways, you gotta love how Watters handles the entire interview:

Oh yeah, she’s a vegan – and ran away from Watter’s question of how does meat eating do this.  That’s a first order action by a nitwit who knows that the jig is up.  What is most dangerous, however, is that

In Government I trust…voters not so much

Treehugger’s Lloyd Alter is on his own jeremiad about cars, technology, suburbs, cars, that people don’t like cities, and cars.  His post is about Elon Musk – you know, that smart smart guy behind Tesla, Sun City, SpaceX, PowerWall, the Boring Corporation, and a few others.  The thing that many have noticed is that he is especially great at rent-seeking vast subsidies from various levels of government to keep his companies going.  That, however, isn’t Alter’s rant – rather that Musk is enabling a future that goes completely against what Alter believes our future should be (in short, rack’em and stack’em in micro-apartments that would force you to walk everywhere and shop for your food every day because he hates anything big including normal size fridges).  Anyways, it apparent he’s all in on “planners” being in charge and making many of decisions for “us” instead of we ourselves.  Commenter “professor” seems to agree (emphasis mine):

Professor
Couldn’t agree more with this article. So much of today’s tech just seems like a bunch of band aid “solutions” to problems that wouldn’t exist if cities were planned properly as complete communities.

As someone who has written his fair share about the dangers of Sustainable Communities Initiative (as it was renamed from Agenda 21 here in NH), that grabbed my attention. So yes, I went satire on him:

Prominent New Hampshire Democrats Come Out In Support of Assault Weapon

Yesterday, Democrat House Rep. Katherine Rogers plead guilty to assault on a New Hampshire citizen. Democrat State Party Chair Ray Buckley, Minority Leader Steve Shurtleff, D-Concord, Kris Schultz, D-Concord, and state Rep. Tim Horrigan, all showed up at the hearing to back Rogers. That’s legally defined as showing support for an assault weapon. And all this … Read more

Integrity of the House: Why Katherine Rogers MUST Resign

Rep.-Katherine-Rogers-600x337

By now, many of you have probably heard the story of New Hampshire House Representative Katherine Rogers (D-Concord) pleading guilty to assaulting a citizen during a ballot recount. If not, here is some of the story below:

The 2017 ‘Humane Legislator of the Year’ entered a guilty plea to avoid jail time for assaulting Conservative activist Susan Olsen.

CONCORD, NH — A local Democrat and state representative pleaded guilty this morning to assaulting a political opponent during a state Senate ballot recount in November 2016. State Rep. Katherine Rogers, D-Concord, 61, pleaded guilty to the assault charge as part of a plea deal that would help her avoid jail time as well as a fine so long as she stays out of trouble during the next year and attends anger management classes during the next 90-days.
