While the professional left and their collectivist herd bleat and low about the government watchdogs that failed again having more power to watch over this or that, the political Right is having an increasingly constructive discussion about how we got here from there.

We built a culture in which celebrity is our highest aspiration. From “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” to “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” we have taught our kids that being rich, being famous, being glamorous is what’s important. When we cut ourselves loose from any virtue higher than others’ opinions of us, no one thought it would result in a generation of teens who eat Tide Pods for a few Youtube clicks.  Because no one ever thought.

Well, tonite is the night that Rob Breton, Dennis Senibaldi and Keleigh McAllister will be facing the music – and probably not tunes they wish to listen to.  And elections are coming up, to boot!  Since I can’t be there, I did write down some ideas on the JBAB policy (“Transgender Bathroom bill for Windham Schools”) and applied what should be our MOST fundamental Law concerning what they are foisting upon the good folk of Windham.  That, of course, would be both the US and NH Constitutions.  There’s one particular section that is rather egregious in its overreach and liberty hating thrust in ignoring what should be concrete, steel hardened, fences that limit the reach and intrusiveness of Government into individuals’ lives (but then again, Progressives hate the Constitution, so no biggie for them). I’m getting a few folks emailing and calling about this, remember when the Windham School Board decided that it just HAD to have a Transgender bathroom policy in place (even, as I am told, that they don’t have any Transgender students in the district)?  Go ahead and reconcile those two things and I have a hypothesis: it’s the next item “of value” in the never-ending Educational-Industrial Complex.

Suddenly, we are supposed to be concerned about Russian computer trolls and Russian dirty tricksters exhibiting a fake Hillary in a fake cage dressed like a prisoner, which are actions we are supposed to believe swayed an entire election, let alone a single vote.

New Boston is still in the process of “cleaning up” the Winslow property on River Rd. “Cleaning out” is more like it.

Here is a picture of the log truck the Town hired with a handshake agreement – no certificate of insurance required for this scheme. Although Town Policy requires it and others have to comply, not with this deal. You see, no contract – no time limit.

If you look closely you can see the Town’s contractor is hauling away Mr. Winslow’s galvanized boat trailer – license plate still attached. Nothing heavy was dropped on top of the boat trailer except some of Mr. Winslow’s tools.

Please call or email committee members of Judiciary and ask that they vote to approve this bill. It will be heard in the committee this Tuesday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. in the Legislative Office Building in Room 208.

I hear stuff and sometimes I hear a lot of stuff.  Whatever happened to local self-reliance and responsibility in dealing with problems? Item one is about the Opioid problem and “Daddy Moneybags”:

At the Belknap County Republican meeting someone from NH GOP HQ was padding around a petition asking people to sign and support Sununu’s request for more funds from Washington for our drug problem.

To me this is like asking someone to not take $10 from my right pocket but take $20 the left pocket instead, the extra needed to pay Washington overhead in giving us $10 back.

Gotta love (/sarc) that “from” and “our” bits.  To that last part – I’ve said that for years that it doesn’t matter a whit what level of government is arguing with another one who is going to pay for what because when it comes right down to it, it all is coming out of only one wallet – mine.

A long post from Matt Kibbe about the TEA Party’s demise – the milestone WAS this latest “CRomnibus” act that kept the Feds open (again, no big deal to me if it had shut down) and also spent FAR more than we can afford.  GraniteGrok was one of the co-founders of the NH TEA Party Coalition – a group of us that had had it with politicians up and down the chain. We all agreed that if we weren’t willing to do something ourselves, no one did.  We did – and we had an impact. Using the Constitution as our Measure of Quality, we held their feet to the fire and it worked. At least for a while.

Again, with the Republicans leading the charge on spending and widening the deficit, what IS the difference between the Dems and the Republicans???   Sigh…
