“God-Fearing Catholic” Alderman Ends Attacks on Save Women’s Sports Activist

Ever since self-proclaimed “God-fearing Catholic” Alderman Melbourne Moran Jr. attacked me for speaking about my Save Women’s Sports flag at a Nashua Board of Aldermen meeting, I have been attending the Board meetings and speaking each time during the public comment period about what he said about me and my flag and about the threats to women’s sports.

In the last two Board meetings, Alderman Moran’s attacks against me have finally stopped. Perhaps he has gotten tired of me calling him out again and again and again.

During his last attack on me on May 25, he claimed that my flag makes his clients feel suicidal and that I “harassed a pro-LGBTQ business with that anti-gay flag.”

What really happened is that I stood outside a Coffee with the Mayor event being hosted by Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess with my Save Women’s Sports flag to remind the Mayor that he is responsible for having my flag removed from the Citizen Flag Pole and not allowing me to fly it again in violation of my constitutional rights as clarified by the US Supreme Court ruling on Shurtleff V Boston.

Here are my public comments at the last Board of Aldermen meeting:

I am back again to talk about my Save Women’s Sports flag in spite of being accused by Alderman Melbourne Moran, Jr of locking arms with the Satanic Temple, despite his statements implying that my Save Women’s Sports flag makes his clients feel suicidal, and despite false accusations that I tried to damage Jajabelle’s business.

I am here because women deserve better than to have their sports dominated by men. Look around the room and who are the tallest people here by far? That would be Mayor Donchess and Alderman Comeau. It is no coincidence that the tallest people here are both men.

Men are bigger and stronger and faster than women and that is why women’s sports were created. Without separate sports, women don’t have a chance in competitions. Everyone in this room knows this and yet the abuse of me and my flag continues.

Two weeks ago a member of the Nashua Democrats who was in the audience called me the ‘C’ word after the Board of Aldermen meeting while I was handing out my info about women’s sports.

I and all women deserve better treatment for speaking up for our sex-based rights to our own sports.

Thank you to the aldermen that took the information I handed out concerning the science of why women deserve their own sports. I hope you find it enlightening.

I will continue to speak out about my Save Women’s Sports flag at the Nashua Board of Aldermen meetings and show up outside events with my flag until the City allows the flag to fly on the Citizen Flag Pole in front of Nashua City Hall.
