Perennial candidate Andy Martin is forever trying to get himself elected. He claims that he is the most experienced candidate in any race that he’s run in since I’ve been in NH. I dryly note that his “experience” is in losing as he’s never come close to winning a single election. As far back as I’ve been politically aware.
Not just infamous for that, he gets great press (snicker) in that every cycle, he has to go blaming someone else for his lack of viability – either suing them outright or trashing them during the campaign. Once again, he’s at it again and his “target” this cycle is The General – Don Bolduc. Once again, Martin is calling a Presser for tomorrow to wear his trashman suit; one of the other Groksters caught wind of it and sent me the notice (emphasis mine):
Republican U. S. Senate candidate Andy Martin will hold a Manchester, NH news conference Wednesday, July 6th to accuse Fox News favorite Don Bolduc of being a “Democrat in Disguise.” Bolduc, along with Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen, supports a constitutional amendment to overturn the Citizens United decision by the U. S. Supreme Court. “Fox News doesn’t have a clue they are promoting a Democrat,” Andy says. “Fox’s ‘national political reporter’ in New Hampshire, Paul Steinhauser, another sleazy Democrat in Disguise, promotes Bolduc to Fox News editors. Bolduc stands alongside Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi on the Citizens United matter; he is disqualified as a serious Republican candidate for U. S. Senator in New Hampshire. Bolduc should be running in the Democratic primary.”
Yawn. First thing, when one puts out a notice for a Presser event, isn’t it usually required that someone state WHERE it will be held? And WHEN? After all – “most experienced” and all that schtick. At least, one would expect the details to be taken care of, right? Citizens United is REALLY old news – former Grokster Tim Condon wrote about it back in 2010 and we’ve mentioned it a LOT. Including when Don Bolduc said it should be overridden during the last election cycle. It was a bad mistake on his part – we blamed his campaign staff for not bringing him up to speed on how NH Conservative voters would take it (it did hurt him along with some other stuff as he had just retired from the Army and went full bore into politics.
I can tell you that’s not an issue (along with other issues on which he’s admitted he didn’t do his homework and talk to knowledgeable people) anymore.
But it’s also clear that Martin has, once again, failed to do his homework in two ways – thinking that Bolduc held that belief even now.
And, failing to even bother to ask Bolduc WHEN HE WAS WITH HIM. Like this:
Such a SMILE on Martin’s face – and read whose name is on that hat that Martin is wearing?
Yeah, Bolduc’s.
Sorry, this undermines everything Martin said above. Does he really think that this is far better fair than what Kevin Smith (sorry, Kevin!) tried in the last debate?
Er, no. I think the word is “flailing” as in “this is the best he’s got”.
