Once again, the context is that of Gunstock Mountain Resort and the Gunstock Area Commission on NH State Senator Bob Guida’s quote in the Laconia Daily Sun concerning his sponsored bill, HB 1397, that totally disrupts how GMR/GAC are both structured, IMHO, simply for political reasons: GAC Commissioner Gary Kiedaisch (from a Power perspective) and NH State Rep Tim Lang (political opportunity):
Saying, “The asset belongs to the residents of Belknap County,” Giuda argued that it is appropriate for the county’s 61,000 citizens to have a say in who oversees operations. He said it is inappropriate for “radical conservatives” whose legislative duties have to do with budgets and appropriations to also control the executive functions of operating and maintaining a four-season resort.
Really, Bob? “Radical Conservatives”? Sounds like a Democrat talking point to me and that is NEVER a good look for a Republican legislator to say. What IS a “radical conservative”, Bob, compared to a “normal conservative”? Do you consider me a “normal” or “radical” one? Or not even one at all?
I’d also like to ask a very important question: does the Law, as it pertains to GMR, still matter? And other than the mistake by NH State Rep and Delegation Chair Mike Sylvia in not getting the term of office for Rusty McLear wrong (but then righting that wrong), what Laws have the Delegation, made up of these “radical conservatives”, broken? Any? Are they NOT playing by the Rules established back in 1959?
Or would you agree that it has been the GAC Commissioners, specifically Gallagher (since resigned), McLear, and Kiedaisch, who are the radicals in protesting the Law that was being followed to the LETTER in fighting the Delegation over what is their rightful oversight of the GAC over their oversight of GMR? And this was a ONE TIME ISSUE?
So is it you, and NH State Rep Tim Lang, that are the “radicals” for immediately upending the GMR/GAC “apple cart” Law simply because three snotty brats didn’t want to give up their Power Cushioned Seats?
How much of what you know isn’t true, and how much is it that you have no idea?
