Alleged “News” Agency Will Spend 8 Million Dollar “Donation” to Fund Biased Reporting on Climate Change

This ties in nicely with the news that legacy media outlets will feature climate change “Desks.” Reporters and reports focused specifically on the issue at places like the Boston Globe, Concord Monitor, and now the AP, which got 8 million from somewhere to report on climate.

The Associated Press said Tuesday that it is assigning more than two dozen journalists across the world to cover climate issues, in the news organization’s largest single expansion paid for through philanthropic grants. … The grant is for more than $8 million over three years, and about 20 of the climate journalists will be new hires. The AP has appointed Peter Prengaman as its climate and environment news director to lead the team.

A dying lying industry struggling to keep even its most biased stories in print got an investment that will fund twenty brand new shiny ideologues with the specific task of promoting the Left’s Climate lie. These are stories that will be picked up and shared as actual news worldwide by other failing media franchises.

Stories bought and paid for by who?

No one knows whose news we’ll be reading, but we know this. It will be slanted, outrageous, and politically motivated.

Not that AP was any sort of news organization. But at least now we know for sure that they are someone’s partisan climate bitch, and whatever they churn out can be discounted as one-sided rubbish.

Question: Since local papers have also been fishing for donors these past few years and are adding “climate-focused reporting,” how much influence do donors have on the content or focus? Are they adding these features due to anonymous donors like the ones backstopping AP’s Climate BS?

I ask because we have donors too, and the number one thing we tell them is you get zero leverage on what we write about, how we write, or why.

One other distinction. We are admittedly biased in our worldview. We tell you we are writing and reporting through the lens of increased liberty, individual rights, and the founder’s vision for the Constitutional Republic. No pretending to be otherwise.

AP has no such credibility, nor do the backers propping up a dying product that needs to be allowed to swoon.

If you’d like more proof than my word, here is a screengrab of the image the AP used to lead the announcement.

And here’s our most recent headline on that single topic from Nov 2021: The Polar Bear Population has Increased 600% Despite Mann-Made Al-Gore Warming.

I rest my case.
