Data Point – WE Coulda Told Ya That Without Spending Money on Polling

Some things are actually very easy to see and know. And yes, I do know that often the “Conventional Wisdom” is neither conventional nor wise. But some things are and any Conservative Activist pushing back against this flood of Orcs and Goblins implicitly understands what someone spent good money to figure out:

Young Democrats are intolerant scolds and some progressives think that’s great news

Yesterday Axios published the results of a poll which found that about a quarter of college students would not be friends with someone who voted for the opposing party’s presidential candidate. But the real story here is how those findings break down along partisan lines:

The Left has been kvetching about we on the Right are “self-selecting” or “Self-sorting. The best example is their complaints that we have left the Left’s social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook) AFTER they taunted us to “go build your own”. Well, this pretty much shows that there is no doubt who are the ones actually self-selecting.  And the Hot Air author notes (emphasis mine):

What is it about? My take is that this says something pretty good about Republican college students who are wise enough to know that politics isn’t everything and something pretty bad about a lot of young Democrats. The people who make up those blue bar graphs are partisan scolds for whom politics is a kind of substitute religion. I think what we’re seeing here, very roughly, is a measure of the degree to which wokeism has taken over the party. As I’ve said before, it’s still a minority view, but one that is still growing.

I haven’t been to a lot of events lately (not like I was before both the Grandson and WuFlu appeared on the scene) so I personally am not at locations where I’d bump into a lot of Wokesters. However, it’s been around for years and from personal experience, I can attest that the worst of the Democrats are those who were woke before that four-letter word was a “thang.” Again, it almost always points to one thing – a self-entitled sense of Moral Superiority towards the rest of us.

And that chart shows it.  So, do I dare use that Democrat phrase of “it’s settled science”?

So, readers, got some names you’d love to name?
