Meet in the House Chamber!

Dear Speaker Packard,

You are quoted in NH Journal as saying the following: “With hospitalizations at record levels and community transmission still high, the responsible thing to do is to maintain health and safety protocols for our legislators and hold off on returning to the House chamber, at least for now.”

I didn’t vote for Republicans to have the majority in both chambers so that you could act like Democrats.

If you give Republican voters no reason to vote for Republicans, then Republicans will surely lose the majority next year. Your leadership so far has been truly pathetic.

You could have protected New Hampshire citizens by banning vaccine mandates last spring. You didn’t. Now hospitals are firing nurses and other staff members who don’t want to risk their lives by taking an experimental injection for which there is no long-term data.

Because of your abject failure as a leader, in not banning vaccine passports, hospitals are understaffed to the point that Gov. Sununu has activated the National Guard to help fill the gaps.

Hospitals are always crowded in December. It’s the middle of flu season. Get your head out of the Covid donkey.

If you don’t get your act together, there will be no reason to vote for you anymore.
