Looks very much like Leftist Democrats are cranking up their hate and smear machine to punish Senator Joe Manchin for not bowing and scraping at the feet of “President” Biden and his Build Back Better.
A three-plus trillion pork-laden plan to disenfranchise fully half all the American people, create shortages in energy, pay off those giant corporate supporters funding the plan and leave the honest working population holding an empty bag of promises and rising prices on everything.
Biden, for his scripted part, has in so many words called Manchin a liar who is going back on his promise to support BBB.
Joe M. denies he ever agreed to all this out of control spending and especially the killing off of West Virginian’s major job supplier, the coal mining industry. Of course, the rest of the “Smear Gang” are piling on in their classic bullying, shaming, and name-calling responses.
Somehow I just can’t see Manchin taking that abuse all that kindly.
At the very least it’s more likely to harden the hard-nosed, take no nonsense W. Virginians position.
Many reports coming out from reliable news sources say Republican leaders are inviting Joe M. to come over, out of the cold and into a party that seems far more friendly to his views and values. Could that even happen? Well, anything is possible but I’m not counting any chickens at this point.
Still a couple interesting notes have been brought forward. One is that in his last election Manchin won but with only forty-eight percent of the vote.
Second is West Virginian is a State that strongly holds to traditional American values and is a very blue-collar working state (but very Red leaning). In the current environment, it’s getting Redder every day as the unpopular Biden administration pushes it’s anti-American agenda on everyone.
What will a Democrat in his party’s disfavor chances be for reelection? Not all that great, I should think.
The Democrat’s poll numbers, overall, are not looking good, to say the least, and many are predicting a sweeping Republican wave. If so, and if Joe Manchin is as savvy as I think he is, he has to be looking at all this and deciding whether he wants to stay in the unfriendly Left party, ride off into retirement, or come on in out of the cold to the GOP?
Only time will tell but if it should turn out that he switches that would flip the Senate from Blue to Red overnight.
Can’t you just hear the caterwauling from the Left if that happens. I’m hoping.
