Joe Biden Officially Taps Out on COVID Crisis “There is No Federal Solution

And then said it was up to the States to figure it out. You know, this is what Biden campaigned on – that Trump was wrong, absolutely wrong, and a failure for not “solving” the COVID pandemic. But he, Biden, could and would. With those 5 words, Biden just admitted he was a failure.  That Big Government was a failure. That the Federal Government, he finally admitted, can’t solve every problem. He also, unwittingly, announced that Trump was right in having the Feds do the things he knew were in the purview of the Feds but had the States do what they should be doing being “more local”.

Trump knew that while the Federal Government had a role to play, he left it to the States to handle their environments in ways that best fit them in that a one-size-fits-all would never work. You know, just like Biden’s nationwide VAX mandates on healthcare workers and truckers didn’t make things better, they made them FAR worse!  Hospitals are now “overloaded” because they had to shuck off unvaxxed workers (and not because they lacked bedspace) and the Supply Chain woes got worse because we ran out of truck drivers to get the goods out of the container ports (plus unions and other Government-getting-in-the-way issues).

TCH has a bit more (abstracted, reformatted, emphasis mine):

Today is actually a stunning day in the world of COVID transparency and the manipulation of COVID for political benefit.

Stunning, too, that the Progressive mantra that the higher the level of Government you’re controlling from, the better, has just been irretrievably busted. Biden just admitted that more local is better – and the Progressives are now spitting mad about it. But here’s a bigger “stunning”:

When you require something, you are by nature of that requirement taking ownership of the outcome. The Biden administration mandates -writ large- means the government has to take ownership of the outcome.  Thus, if government tests are required then government is responsible for testing.

The problem is, when any entity takes ownership, they are setting themselves up for accountability and criticism…Today, Joe Biden officially tries to take the U.S. government out of the COVID mess by saying “there is no federal solution” to the crisis their COVID-19 response created.   Yes, JOE BIDEN SAID THAT.  Directly and without any pause as to the ramification of what he was saying or reading.

For two years Joe Biden has critiqued, criticized, complained and promised that his administration would handle the spread of COVID-19 and all the downstream consequences.  Today, all of that is summarily trashed -as if it never existed- and the White House proclaims that individual states are now responsible for every outcome on their own.

For those of you that either never learned or have forgotten, one of the huge Checks and Balances is the philosophy of Federalism – that our Federal Government is only supposed to do those things (those “Powers”) that are enumerated for it in the US Constitution. All other possible Powers are delegated back to the States and to the People. The Feds were to be limited in nature – so much for that, thanks to the Progressives / Socialist that have made it into the Leviathan it is today doing all SORTS of things that it shouldn’t be.

And thanks to spineless Republicans who, with very few exceptions, refuse to rear back and so “no further!” to one new program after another. The older ones for which there is no “Power”, they won’t even challenge anymore – they’ve given up because the Left will call them bad words; so much for that “we pledge our lives, our honor” bit, eh?

And the thing about the Left is that they utterly refuse to be allowed to be held accountable politically. Ditto the mainstream media, the Democrat mouthpieces that they are, refuse to do the just when Democrats hold Control.

So in this case, Federalism is being used as a “Get out of COVID Accountability Jail card” by Biden.

Will the electorate hold him responsible for lying to them in 2022 and in 20224?
