It’s hard to believe, Superintendent David Ryan failed to oversee final preparations for protecting prom attendees from Covid. He is, after all, the Exeter High School superintendent responsible for the actions of his subordinates.
Ryan’s assertion that “…one initial parent complaint” implies the first of many. How many other complaints were received by the SAU 16 Administration?
The mask ordinance ended in N.H. on April 16, 2021. Masks became voluntary and no longer imposed. Why were prom organizers agonizing over contact tracing?

Appointing the SAU 16 Cooperative School District ‘Director of Safety and Security’ and ‘Assistant Director of Student Services’ to investigate civil rights violations of children that occurred at the SAU 16 is a joke!

The proper venue would be anywhere but in-house.
Protecting the privacy of unknown numbers “of individual employees” should not have been the paramount concern of the Ryan administration over the usurping of attendees’ Civil Rights, many of whom are under the age of eighteen. Did “individual employees” receive a stipend or any monetary benefits for their incompetence?
Who is responsible for gleaning the final report resulting in the penned synopsis before us? Ryan’s signature is missing. Is there an Anonymous someone on the SAU 16 payroll?
This abridged summary implies “individuals and/or volunteers” were culpable for not ensuring that private personal health information accumulated from unvaccinated attendees remained confidential. We can confidently assume from the paragraph above that “individuals” are employees of the ERCSD and that multiple employees also bear responsibility, not just one.
What remains unclear is why prom organizers were so consumed with usurping the civil rights of the prom attendees? Mask mandates were lifted on Friday, April 16th as well as required “business restrictions” on May 7th, the prom on June 4th.
Why was authoritarian discrimination implemented at one of the most treasured events of the year the Exeter High School Senior Prom? Disgraceful!
Why are all the school boards members silent to this egregious injustice perpetrated on our children?
Do they not understand the full ramifications of what transpired? Simply put, the staining of this event stands contrary to the purported curriculum that is embraced by SAU 16 Administrators “Diversity Equity, Inclusion, and justice.” Obviously, another leftist “do as we say not as we do” moment.
“While there is no question that the intent of those involved in the planning was to provide a safe event for students, the procedures were flawed and poorly executed.”
Intent, in this case, is tantamount to tyrannical behavior, yet to be denounced by anyone in the ERCSD, or by any Cooperative School Board Members. Pathetic! A complete scrutinization and possible house cleaning from top to bottom of all administrators, department employees, and teachers are in order.
This is the utmost concern of parents, grandparents, and property owners. SAU16 School District is imploding and the ‘Blue Lives t-shirt incident’ is still pending…!
