The Belknap County Republicans had their monthly last night at the Gilford Community Church in Gilford, NH. The keynote speaker, as the title above notes, was Frank Edelblut who is the current NH Commissioner of Education. IMHO, probably the best person to be in that seat during this last year and a half. Very knowledgeable, very quick on his feet, and a deprecating wit, he’s a very good speaker. Given what has transpired this past year, he is the guy to be in that seat.
The Keynote Speaker, traditionally under the new BCRC Leadership, has the time they want to make their presentation – and he did so, much to the delight of the large crowd. I say that as the Question and Answer portion turned out to be even longer!

Note: No, contra ALL the signs at the front table and around the Fellowship Hall, Frank has NOT announced if he is running for ANYTHING at this time. Someone who had supported him in the primary for Governor brought in the signs that he had saved from that time. I will say that the reaction from Frank was a delayed one – and then a slow but broad smile appeared on his face.
