If you are that cowed about a disease that has a 99% survival rate, that you believe that Life should never have any risk associated with it, that ALL bad consequences must be mitigated, that you have no problem in yielding up most of your Rights and Liberties in trading it for some small amount of “Safety”, then just stay home.
After all, “living just to not die” is not living at all.
All we’ve heard is stuff like “two weeks to flatten the curve”, “don’t overwhelm the hospital system”, “don’t kill Grammy and Grandpa”, “YOU are responsible for everyone else” (had to throw that bit of Collectivism in there), and of course “Wait for the vaccine” even as many doubted that a vaccine could be created within a year.
Sidenote: Moderna actually had it in a couple of days but had to spend months navigating all the Govt red tape before being able to ship it out. And even now, there’s a lot of grousing about those that have had an adverse effect. It just seems that there are those that are never satisfied. Unless they are Biden trying to take credit for all of the vaccine work. Does this mean that Biden is now responsible for Grammy and Grampa that got the arm Jab and died from that? Just askin’ for a friend…
What is the point of the vaccine with this kind of attitude? I keep hearing that we still have to mask up (BTW, shameless plug for those here in NH – our Mandatory Mask Medical Exemption placard is your solution! And if you’ve been Jabbed, here’s your way to proclaim “Vaccinated against Public Health Tyranny” and still “stick to Sununu”) FOREVER and FOREVER have to keep our distance from families and friends and not do the things that make us human, really what is the point?
If normal can never achieved, why bother with what our “betters” are telling to do OTHER than getting a vaccine?
Back to the original question. The answer is this: the point of all this WuFlu Kabuki Theater is if the vaccine is not a pathway to Normal, is to accentuate the obtaining and wielding of Power by the State. There can be no other reason. Occam’s Razor and all that.
