What is the right response to lockdowns? Lockdowns do indeed have costs. Some are financial and some of them are personal and health-related. There’s more than one way to wreck a life. For example:

The Lockdown Zealots are always talking about “the science.” The science does not support these aggressive, repetitive lockdowns. That is not new news. Yet suddenly, they’re changing their tune. After advocating for lockdowns for almost a year, right after an election, they are all about unity and change.
We can all understand looking at lockdowns as a counter-measure early on in what experts describe as a pandemic. Then there is a lack of information and an excess of fear. Putting everything on the table makes sense. We have come to know so much more now than we did in early 2020. It’s pretty stupid to continue to advocate for lockdowns. We know lockdowns have dire costs of their own and may not do a damned thing.
The science, it’s all about the science, except it’s not…
The only take away is: This wasn’t really about the science at all. There are political reasons the Democrats advocated for lockdowns. It’s the same reason that the Speaker refused to table a skinny COVID relief bill. This whole episode was political to hurt the Trump reelection effort. If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck… you know; it just might be a duck.
So, congratulations. It worked. People have suffered, lost their businesses, and lost their livelihoods. This happened because of these lockdown lunatics. We need to understand how much people like Cuomo, Lightfoot, Newsom, and Whitmer have helped us, protected us, and defended us. What is the right response to lockdowns?
They should receive an appropriate reward. They need to lose their jobs. We need to back solid common-sense conservative candidates. We need people willing to weigh the facts and act appropriately rather than politically. This has been political manipulation and it has done real harm to real people… lots of them. It will be an uphill battle to rid ourselves of this entrenched politi-virus. But it’s got to be done or we’ll be at the mercy of these tyrants forever.
