Executive Orders:
Clinton—2 in his first week in office
Bush—2 in his first two weeks in office
Obama—5 in his first week in office
Trump—4 in his first week in officeBiden—30+ in his first five days in office
Remind me again which president governs like a dictator?

And given that some of the Democrats (Manchin, Sinema, Feinstein, Whitehouse, Angus King are starting to get off the “Nuke the Legislative Filibuster” we may be seeing gridlock starting to form in the Senate. Given the Socialist / Republic-ending legislation that the “Progressive” Democrats wish to shove into place, not a bad thing to be developing. Which means that Biden will be reduced to nibbling at the edges (edges only relative to what COULD happen if their full-tilt legislation were to pass) via Executive Orders.
Which still should be cause for alarm. No, not just because Biden is signing them but for the more serious reason: Government and the foundation of Laws / regulations it stands on is just too big. And the latter, Laws and regulations, are just too nebulous to being kept from being manipulated by E.O.s. Can’t pass the legislation you want (in the form you campaigned on)? Just issue an imperial decree! After all, what’s the difference?
I posted this earlier today: Sununu proves he believes he’s an Elected King. Executive Orders, Emergency Orders – what’s the difference in the shorter term? Both require only three things: political will, top rank, and a pen. Again, I hate being pedantic about this but without the Separation of Powers, we have no republican form of government.
Power without responsible Philosophy is not a recipe for long term success for US outside of the Ruling Class.
