Yeah, That Lasted Long – AOC: to Hell With Biden’s “Unity” Message

AOC Bernie screen grab

That Unity schtick is wearing thin already. What is coming across is “shut up, we’re in charge, and you WILL like it because SUBMIT.” You know, the same old message from the Moral Superiority Left.

I really do wonder if they ever listen to themselves when this kind of crap emanates from their mouths? We certainly have – for four long years, we’ve been called every name in the book (and then the previous 8 years under Obama as well).

Persuasion is not their strong suit – and empathy is even lower-rated.

Enter, stage left, and heading for the mic is AOC herself. Right on cue, on Jake Tapper Sunday Show (CNN), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lets it loose that she is in no mood to want to talk to Republicans at all. It’s like what is going on in college campuses where “oppressed” minorities want to segregate themselves into their own dorm rooms (once again, showing a total lack of knowledge of how hard the Civil Rights era worked to UNsegregate such facilities):

Like I keep saying: I want the Left to talk, talk, talk, and then talk some more. First we had US Senate Minority Chuckie Schumer utter ““Now we take Georgia, then we change America!”” and now this. These guys are just writing the GOP campaign ads for the two Georgia runoff races for the remaining US Senate seats (of which the GOP only has to win one).

TAPPER: Biden is planning a wave of executive orders to roll back some of Trump’s policies once he takes office, on everything from climate to the so-called Muslim ban. As of now, however, it looks as though Republicans, at least until January, will hold control of the Senate. That’s going to complicate your desire and the desire of other progressives for bold, sweeping, progressive legislation.

I mean, theoretically, you can pass anything you want in the House, but it doesn’t matter if it goes to die in the Senate. How are you going to negotiate that? Are you going to work with more moderate Senate Republicans to try to pass something in the House that can get through the Senate?

OCASIO-CORTEZ: Well, I’m going to be spending my next couple of months doing everything that I can to extend help and offer support to the work of fantastic leaders that we just heard from like Stacey Abrams to make sure that we don’t have a Republican Senate majority, that we win these races in Georgia, that we secure a Democratic Senate majority, so that we don’t have to negotiate in that way.

And that is the operative phrase. Power is their aim and nothing less. While I often say to not listen to politicians’s words but DO watch for their actions, in her case, listen well (mostly because she operate at a volume of 11 ideologically speaking. There is no “quiet part” with her – in that respect, she’s honest about what she wants to do (as opposed to most Democrats that refuse to say what they will REALLY try to do once elected. After all, how many times has Biden had a REAL presser where even compliant MSM reporters can ask policy questions?).

Unity with Republicans? Such a quaint idea. No, it’s just words getting sucked into a vacuum that Democrats want to “work” with Republicans politely across the aisle (showing that Romney, Rath, Duprey, and Humphrey, along with other RINOs, are truly delusional that Democrats view them the same way that they view the Dems). The only time that will happen is IF and ONLY IF one of their Agenda items can’t be moved forward without them playing like Lucy with the football and the Rs are Charlie Brown that never gets the idea that he’s never even going to get a toe on that ball.

And with more and more stuff coming out about the two Democrats trying to take these two seats in a still red Georgia, I’m not sure that’s gonna play well:

It’s gonna be a long two months…
