Facebook Doodlings: Republican Republicans For The Sake Of The Republican Party (RRftsofRP) – Examples

Divided Republicans

RRftsofRP members believe in one thing – the Republican Party. That’s fine as far as it goes but that’s ALL they care about. They don’t care about policy, they don’t care about the Platform, and in this case, they don’t care about the NH Constitution (and generally, the US one as well).

Their sole mantra, as much as it is one, is any Republican is better than any Democrat and it doesn’t matter what the Republican is doing (their only “rule” is “don’t do illegal stuff – but we might be willing to bend that rule as needed”). Whereas, for me, this holds MUCH more sway:

Winning is only the precursor – what you do AFTERWARDS is of more importance

RRftsofRPs are really only interested in the former. WIN is the only thing that motivates them. Like with what Gov Chris has been doing.

He Won (gosh, that reminds me of what Obama once said to the Republican he invited into the Oval Office: “I Won”) but as you know, I have found fault with him on the AFTERWARDS part.  So have others, as well (see: “Seven New Hampshire Republican Lawmakers Announce Resolution to Investigate Impeachment of Republican Governor Christopher T. Sununu” a title says it all).

Well, on some places on Facebook, this didn’t go over with said RRftsofRPs when that Press release was posted (although my first comment was “Everyone is to be held accountable at all times”).

One in particular was Jon Morgan who let loose:

You folks are the AOC of our party. Your all great medical professionals who rage post take action and spew stupidity to make yourselves feel good! Best of luck. Now that we have all your names ill donate to others to unseat you in 22 enjoy your 15 min of fame!

Really, that’s the best you’ve got – calling folks the same as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? Go ahead, Morgan, which one of us holds the same philosophy as she. Yeah, that raises your credibility here as I’ve got 14 years to back up what I’ve been espousing. However, like AOC, he’s willing to take names and take retribution, so there’s that.

Ah, yes, the proving point of an RRftsofRPs is that one can NEVER admonish, can NEVER criticize, and can never hold another Republican accountable. Yeah, like we’ve been guided by that all these 14 years.  Well, given that I’m not in the House, not planning on running for the House, I decided to answer back to this blowhard (emphasis mine here):

We gave him the benefit of the doubt in the beginning when no one knew much about this pandemic. After that, when he decided that he had the Power to micromanage our Individual lives, not so much.

For months, I pointed out the disparity in infection rates across the counties – heaviest in Rockingham and Hillsboro to almost nothing in Coos. Yet, he continued to lockdown everyone all the same without respect to his own data. He selectively treated one set of folks (protests – Free Speech) vs another (worshippers – Freedom of Religion).

He arbitrarily separated essential from non-essential businesses and took total control over the economy – withOUT the Power to do so. And make no mistake -those “non-essential” businesses WERE essential to the owners and employees AND to the consumers that patronized them. Now, hundreds of NH businesses are shut down and lost forever.

The greatness of our system of Government depends on the separation of Powers between the Legislature, Executive, and Judicial Branches. For almost 10 months, Baby Huey has gathered ALL of those Powers (that are supposed to be “jealously guarded”) unto himself by issuing, enforcing, and adjudicating Emergency Orders in the form of “guidelines“.

When in the world did the word “guidelines” become the equivalent of the word “Law”?

No, these Reps are doing EXACTLY what they should be doing – making sure that THEIR Powers are taken away from the Executive Branch. The Democrats that are still in charge of the Senate and House (until Dec 2) should have done this long ago. They certainly made noises about Sununu oversteps but their actions (rather, inaction to call the Chambers back into session) prove that they were fine with a Unitary gathering of such Powers into a single Office / Person.

I can keep on going for a while but it all comes down to this – when a single person controls SO MUCH of our Individual lives on penalty of fines and loss of Liberty (e.g., jail time) on his own say so, that’s Tyranny.

Especially when it is “done for your own good” (e.g., the road of good intentions)…

And that’s my beef. And Morgon had nada to say. Whether you like the Reps or not, they ARE doing what they should.

Our problem with Morgan and others like him claiming to be Republicans in a Republican party that supports Constitutions is about the AFTERWARDS and what you do AFTER you’ve won your office.

When you go outside that lane, when you abrogate your oath, you’ve crossed the line. As I said in the beginning, everyone needs to be held accountable when they are elected officials.

Chris Sununu is no different.
