Should Biden keep his promise to debate Trump? The risk is he may well blow up his candidacy in a moment of incoherence. The chance is there and Trump seems the person to bring out Joe’s weakness.
On the no, he shouldn’t debate side that could end with massive ridicule in absentia. It would be Clint Eastwood’s empty chair at the 2012 Republican convention redux. He would likely lose the ears of many fence-sitters and anyone who has doubts about his mental capacity for the job.

How does Biden counter Trump’s boundless energy? Can he match the pace even if he wants to?
Should Biden hold town halls, and hold impromptu interviews? Can he afford to not do tarmac rallies and photo-ops on the campaign trail?
And what about the daily unscripted press conferences? Not doing these activities leaves open the inference he is of diminished capacity. But doing them could well confirm to voters that he is frail and confused.
How did Biden become a prisoner of his own mind?
Perhaps he knew that he was not physically or cognitively up to running a real campaign. Then again maybe he didn’t. But he ran all the same. And here we are. The voting public is about to hold a referendum on his capacity.
Implicit in his deal with the Left was silence in exchange for violence
He knew or should have known the violence of Antifa would eventually hurt more than help him. However, for months he kept silent about the violence. He took the good news when it came early. He allowed the campaign to revel in the perception of political damage to Trump.
Maybe he knew, he had always opposed the wacky agenda of Sanders. Biden wrongly felt he could pose as a moderate in 2020. However, there is nothing moderate about the Party platform or Biden’s positions. They are what the Democrat primary has shown the Party to be… hard-Left, socialist.
The Party is hard Left, Marxist with an anti-Semitic Islamist tinge. If elected Biden must keep his promise to the socialists. They are the Democrat Party. He will have to govern as a leftist.
Do you think Uncle Joe grasps his new progressive allies would be happy for him to win them a presidency? Just as importantly; does he grasp they will be even happier for him to then disappear as soon as possible?
The situation is; Biden is in a trap in his mind. There is an apparent paradox. This happens when, what seems real is not, Biden is trapped in the Left where truth and facts do not matter. The left knows — and is known not to be real by those who act as if it is. The Biden paradox is he’s damned if he debates and he loses if he doesn’t.
