Actually, no, I don’t believe you’re whole and I don’t believe you do either, Joe Biden

Joe Biden Centrist Democrat, well not so much

Look, I know, it’s a small video clip. It doesn’t give much if any context. But context can be gotten from other sources and by other means and Dementia Joe has taken the art of the Biden Gaffe to a whole new level (which, sadly, is not upward).

Joe Biden: “Cause if you could take care, if you were a quartermaster, you can sure in hell take care runnin’ a, you know, a department store uh, thing, you know, where, in the second floor of the ladies department or whatever, you know what I mean?”

TMEW and I were taking the Grandson to Speech Therapy (yes, school is now in session) and were talking about the “sundowning” effect that Rush Limbaugh mentioned.

“Why is it that we never see Biden after dark?”

The back story is that some folks with advancing dementia may be having a “good day” but fade fast after the sun goes down at dusk.

I saw it. My mom suffered from this malady and had the same symptoms. It’s real and it happens and we talked about if folks that suffer from this know they are sliding down that slope. Some do, some don’t, and I bet many don’t acknowledge it if they do. Mom was in that second category; it wasn’t pretty. In my case, “I was only making trouble” when I tried to reason with her about what was going on.

Not fun.

I’m no doctor and I haven’t talked to Biden since his second run at the Oval Office (he was in the Lakes Region and he consented to talk with us). I will tell you that he told us, being in the new field of bloggers “you guys are gonna help elected the next President.” Well, he wasn’t it but he was gracious enough talking to the “Other side” for a few minutes. (Wish I could find the video.)

We also talked about the “Harris Administration” truths that first Harris said and then Biden himself said it twice. You can be sure that Kamala was committing a Kinsley Gaffe – telling the truth. And, in her gaffe, letting the robe open and showing that ambition.

In a political way, it’s the cute (but conniving) young thing that hooks up with an old fart whose only redemptive feature is the number of zeros in the bank account and believes she’ll outlast him. She’ll endure what she has to and then have the pick of the pool boy toys.

In this case, it’s not the number of zeros but the relative distance to political Power in which she’s playing the game to get that distance, literally or figuratively depending on your viewpoint, to get her butt into THAT chair.

Power corrupts and for too many politicians, its the magic elixir-frappe of political coke, fentanyl, heroin, meth washed down with champagne. OK, so that latter visual doesn’t do that grabbiness justice (I’ve written about too few ingredients in that cocktail) but you get the picture.

TMEW asked “But she’s gonna help him get elected, right” thinking she’s pretty good at being a politician. While I didn’t tell her about the “toes up” with Willie, I did tell her that her performance during the primary was horrible. Bad answers in the debates, mediocre in the polls (and that’s being kind), and pitching all sorts of policies that prove my point that Progressives ARE regressive in taking your choices away from you. Her Utopia, not yours.

So, she asked, why DID he pick her?

“She’s female and she’s black.” Blunt, truthful, given the importance Democrat Identity Group Political Totem Pole. The activists within and without the Party DEMANDED it and he caved. I don’t see a thing in her that helps him other than she’s younger.

Silence at that explanation for a bit. She finally said, “I don’t think that way.” I told her that I agreed.
