The American Left is pushing hard for a universal acceptance of a simple concept. That life without liberty is worth living. That we should burn down the Constitutional Republic (it’s a classist, white supremacist, racist, colonialist construct anyway) so people can feel safe, note, that I did not say, “be safe.”

Give up your freedoms, and we will keep you safe. That’s the promise, and it is a lie and, the Left is not even trying to hide the lie. Their advocates are publicly violent, destructive, and the ruling class response is to look the other way, keep them out of jail, or actually endorse it. The government will not only NOT keep you safe; it will make safety a luxury; only the ruling class can afford it.
And for good measure, let’s defund the police we said would protect you when we said we had to disarm you. And they then wonder why gun sales continue to break records.
We all knew (over in camp liberty) that was a no-win scenario. The police have no legal responsibility to keep us safe. None. Court confirmed and court-approved. It was always a lie, but now the lie has a face. BLM, Antifa, and the Democrat party are all-in on police reform.
That’s the new goal on the gender-spectrum-equivalent of safety. It means whatever they decide when they decide. And you are not permitted to protect yourself.
Put another way, it should be illegal to protect yourself (it might be racist), and pretending that anyone else will protect you is systemic racism. But we might send a social worker later to talk you through the various stages of grief as you realize you gave up your liberty for nothing.
More likely, they will be there to declare you unfit to possess firearms (if you still have some) so they can take them away. I’m not sure who they plan to send, but in all the other “Utopias,” it is the Federales. Officials who answer to ruling class leftists in the capital.
None of this local business. Another point we never grow tired or sharing. The goal is not to de-police, it is to control policing. Federalized local protection looks and sounds a lot like what it is. The sort of folks who won’t have time for your street crime problems but will make time to disappear dissidents in the night.
That’s how it works. That’s what they are after. And they will do anything to get it. Because sooner or later, they will find a way back into power. And unless we make sure it is a lot later, we better hope the grief counselors in the gulags are not the sort who are better at making you feel worse about your circumstances instead of better.
And yes, this applies to the virus socialism too.
