NH Dems Want a Statewide Mandate on School Reopening? What if Gov. Sununu Could Do this!

The State released a well-thought-out guidance document on reopening schools this fall. It provides some primary considerations, relevant information from health authorities (even if I disagree with some of it), and it allows each district to do what works best for them. Democrats hate it. They want a top-down mandate.

They are calling Governor Sununu weak. I can’t say I disagree, but not here. The problem is not weakness; it is partisan politics. Democrats loathe the idea that counties, towns, cities, or School Districts should accept input from idiot parents/voters and then make a plan based on the people who represent them.

That pisses Democrats off. They want top-down, union driven, partisan political mandates. Damn it!

Force everyone, regardless of circumstances, to conform to their current desires (which may change with little to no warning).

Well, okay. How about this for a top-down statewide mandate?

Executive Order DEMS-GFY, from the office Chris Sununu, the Governor of New Hampshire.

I am extending the State of Emergency so that, effective Immediately, every town (or school administrative unit) shall divide the cost of education in their district (total Budget for the last year) by the number of students and apportion that sum to each child as an education voucher. The voucher may then be used by the parents/student to cover the costs of tuition at any school anywhere or to offset the costs of homeschooling.

Parents are encouraged to consider curriculums, hours of operation, in-person and remote learning options, as well as COVID precautions or any other factor they consider relevant to their decision.

Have a Nice Day.

And there you go.

A top-down, statewide, reopening mandate. An emergency order that tells every town, city, or district, to approach the education situation in the same way. It’s not your money. You work for them. If you want to keep the job, start listening and providing a product worth at least some fraction of what you are charging, or they can and should take their money to someone who will.

It will never happen, but it would be a fantastic lesson for the arrogant left. They support all these infringements under the assumption that they will be in charge. When it doesn’t happen, the smart people who thought they knew everything, lose their minds.

That is what this Trump Derangement business is all about.
