Black Lives Matter rally in Laconia, NH – you’ve got other “guests” coming you may not want

LACONIA — Two events are planned in the city to draw attention to the issue of systemic racism and police brutality, including one that police say could draw hundreds to Laconia City Hall. A silent vigil will take place Friday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the lawn of the Laconia Congregational Church in Veterans Square. Then, on Sunday, a rally has been scheduled from 2-5 p.m. in front of City Hall, an event that could draw upward of 500 people.

Sunday’s rally is being organized by Nezir Alic, a local college student, and member of the Black Lives Matter movement, who said he decided to move ahead earlier this week with a plan to stage a peaceful demonstration because of the circumstances surrounding the death of George Floyd 11 days ago.

Yeah, in light of the below, you may want to rethink that “peaceful” schtick. Sent to me by another Grokster from a close friend of her’s of what she saw in GILFORD at one of the local grocery stores (in fact, if I don’t go out to Market Basket at Exit 20 / Rt 93N), Shaw’s is where I go:

Doesn’t sound like they are there for George Flynn, Black Lives Matter. Sounds more like the Black Bloc of Antifa.

Forewarned is forearmed at my high school Principal used to say. If you go, take appropriate precautions, know where the “exits” are, and keep your head on a swivel. From my martial arts days, the best fight you won is the one you never got involved in. Use of martial arts or the Second Amendment/ Article 2-A is always the last resort.

UPDATE: I called the Laconia Police. Heh – was put on hold. When I talked with a dispatcher, it seems the above had already been called in: “we are aware of the situation”.
