The Staunton Virginia City Council lost three seats to Republicans (and held a fourth) despite record Democrat turnout for a local race. But Republicans, motivated by something – gee, I can’t imagine what – got more voters to the polls and now controls the Council.

The “I can’t imagine what,” as you have probably imagined, were the issues of gun control and COVID-19 lockdowns. In other words, grotesque attacks on their rights and liberties.
The anti-gun crusades of Ralph Blackface Northam and his Democrat Majority legislature are legion. And if you think having a Northeastern Republican like Chris Sununu (with a Democrat legislature to support him) issuing emergency orders is a pain in the ass, try a far-left Democrat like Northam.
It is a “situation” that continues to experience a bit of pushback.
“Bottom line is that the strategies worked, flipping both from D to R, but the change in Staunton is stunning almost beyond words,” Graham opined. “A city that voted for Barack Obama, twice, voted for Hillary Clinton, voted for Terry McAuliffe and Ralph Northam, even gave a solid majority to Jennifer Lewis in her 2018 congressional run against Ben Cline, is now controlled by Republicans.”
Read that paragraph every night before you go to bed at night and repeat after me. I will motivate people to turn out and vote Republicans in November. Clicking your heels three times is optional. But the only reason that happened is people got activated and turned out to vote. And in large enough numbers that Democrats are theoretically crapping their twisted panties.
Nearby Wayesboro also put two conservatives, Lana Williams and Bruce Allen, on their city council to “give conservatives a working majority,” Graham reported.
I know Democrats think that politically, the longer they keep people contained, the better, but I’d suggest the opposite is true. We know that sooner or later, Democrats will make you care about their politics. That day is now. You have made your politics into something they cannot escape, and while they may be willing to tolerate it, the creeping-socialism of it all it transcending theory into reality.
If Virginia is not the only place where this is happening (and it is not), November could be very ugly for the left nationally, and not even vote by mail fraud will save them.
