To Leverage – transitive verb. 1: to provide (something, such as power) or supplement (something, such as money); to enhance as if by supplying with financial leverage.
2: to use for gain of power or effectiveness; exploit shamelessly. “They leveraged the political system to their advantage.”
Big-City slick politicians definitely do this. They accomplish this by donating to their beneficiary state politician – in this case, it is US Rep. Ann Kuster, through a vehicle called Political Action Committees (PAC). Kuster was granted $736,323 in this election cycle to do their bidding. New Hampshire’s interests compete every session of Congress against the agenda of Kuster’s Big-City Kronies to feed the interests of Big-City agendas of New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles. Why? Because these are Kuster’s stakeholders – we are not. Every congressional session Governor Sununu phones up our delegation to Washington, just to get the voicemail and no return call. What better demonstrates that our needs and issues are simply ignored? I am sure Kuster takes Pelosi’s bidding.
Our representation has been up for grabs to benefit Democrat Party donors, Big-Party bosses, and Big-City agendas since Ann Kuster has gone from liberal Concord Lobbyist to entrenched DC Congresswoman. As of today, millions in cash have made its way to Kuster from her Kronies to leverage the Big-City agenda exploiting New Hampshire representation.
Who exactly are these stakeholders or Kronies?
Let’s take a look at Kuster Krony #1 – Mayor Pete Buttigieg (South Bend, Indiana). A Democrat Mayor from middle America who embraces New Hampshire priorities? Not quite. Here are some positions from the famed presidential candidate who came and lost New Hampshire’s coveted Primary victory;
- Lauding socialist Bernie Sanders as an “outstanding and inspiring example.”
- Demands expanding political representation for non-state territories Puerto Rico and Washington, DC.
- Can’t beat them, upgrade them … He suggests expanding the Supreme Court to 15 justices from nine.
- Against Border Patrol Enforcement – For Open Borders.
- For the elimination of small state election protections such as voter integrity & electoral college.
- For the purposes of this blog let’s take on Pete’s suggestion that we eliminate New Hampshire’s election
protection of America’s Electoral College system.
In every other endeavor we undertake, plurality wins…such as a sports playoffs which determine a winner. Our Founding Fathers knew better; they knew the election of our President should not be decided by a popular vote. Presidential elections are, in effect, fifty-one separate elections. To deny this process is to deny small states a voice; in essence, to deny New Hampshire its voice.
Alexander Hamilton has been the most notably present Founding Father referred to in Broadway fame, so let’s look at his take on the subject. Hamilton said, “We are now forming a republican form of government. Real liberty is not found in the extremes of democracy, but in moderate government. If we incline too much to democracy, we shall soon shoot into a monarchy or some other form of dictator.” I think we can all agree that the ‘dictator’ is tyranny of the majority. This is no way to rule and shows far too little regard for individual liberty by Ann Kuster and her #1 Kronie Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
In the coming weeks and months, we are going to spell out the many ways that New Hampshire departs from the hyper-partisan, Big-City agenda of Kuster. It’s really not that difficult a task. From general obfuscation on the issues, we simply can’t see a connection between Ann Kuster and New Hampshire’s values; such as tax increases, abortion funding, border control, and police force obstruction, Electoral College, impeachment, party loyalty, Medicare-For-All, and Nancy Pelosi’s agenda. As we have said, we don’t need Pelosi’s values in New Hampshire and we certainly don’t need Mayor Pete Buttigieg fighting to send New Hampshire’s electoral voice to the trash heap of history.
Leverage New Hampshire for New Hampshire and stop Ann Kuster’s Big-City Kronies from hijacking our voice any longer.
