So, What’s “The Plan” for Next Flu Season?

We Need All the Help We Can Get

Globally as many as 500,000 people, mostly the sick and elderly, die every year from influenza. Every year. And I only bring it up because, as we report on the #ReopenNH Rally, and similar events around the nation, people are suggesting we want to make people sick, and die.

Over on the Twitter machine, New Hampshire Democrat State Party Chair, and DNC vice-Chair, Ray Buckley summed up the Professional Left’s thoughts with this.

Ray Buckley on ReopenNH

I was happy to offer my thoughts on that.

Response to Buckley on Reopen NH

We have plenty of examples to prove my point so here’s me hoping he wants to pursue it. I’ve got a catalog of content that demonstrates how Democrats care about politics and power before people. Especially in the age of Trump Derangement Syndrome. I would be happy to wade into a prolonged back and forth on the matter.

But that’s not the point of today’s lesson, it is this. What is the plan for the next flu season?

If one-quarter of a million flu deaths globally are too many (and we’re only at 161,262 as of today) why were half a million just the price we paid for living here? A price that did not come with economic lockdowns and the totalitarian edicts about whose commerce is essential, who may work, who may participate, and when.

If we never see the Coronavirus again close to a half-million people will probably die from the flu next winter and every winter after that.

What’s the plan?

Are we feeding our lives and livelihoods to politicians every winter hence-forth and forever? If so, why would they ever give it back to us?

And has anyone considered that the masters behind that economic plan are the same people who support euthanasia? Assisted suicide. Death with dignity. The human beings that Obama would give a pain pill too instead of having government healthcare pay for some pricey procedure.

That government would let the people who were going to die from the flu die anyway. But under a centrally planned economy many younger, healthier people will be lost because that world holds very little promise beyond the subsistence future organized for them by the State.

A State that, right now, in our “Constitutional Republic” is enforcing economic lockdowns and totalitarian edicts about whose work and whose commerce is essential, who may participate, and when.

Next winter is coming. And then again after that?

So, what’s the plan?

Note: An earlier version had this sentence messed up – I fixed it.
