So many lies so little time but we’re trying to catch up. Liz Warren, apparently, made a big deal at one of those Dem Debates about the murder rate for transgender (women of color). Pete Buttigieg got on board too. No data. Just emotion. Crisis! As usual, they were full of it.
Tucker Carlson ran a segment on it featuring the outrage, promises, and the press coverage after. Epidemic. A national health issue.
“According to the Human Rights Campaign, in 2018, a total of 26 transgendered Americans were murdered,” Carlson continued. “That’s 26 too many, of course. Every murder is a tragedy, very much including these. But does 26 constitute an epidemic?
If you are not familiar the Human Rights Campaign is a far-left pressure group. So, these are their numbers. And yes, those are 26 murders too many. But it’s not exceptional.
Let’s break it down. A few years ago, the Williams Institute estimated that 1.4 million American adults identify as transgender. If that figure is correct, then in 2018, the murder rate for transgendered people was 1.8 per 100,000. While granting that every murder is too many, relatively speaking, that is a very low rate.”
Tucker notes that murders for all Americans that year were 4.9 per 100,000. That’s a big difference. It tells us that transgenders are less likely to be murdered than non-transgenders. It also suggests that the number of transgender women of color who are murdered is but a fraction of that 1.8 per thousand.
We don’t want anyone to die, certainly not be murdered, but you can’t just let this left-wing garbage go unchallenged. The so-called watchdog media has no interest in challenging these candidates or seeking the truth. They are there to sell the lies. Make them legitimate.
While Tucker Carlson and others who ask questions and use the left’s own data (like the numbers from the Human Rights Campaign) to show how these narratives are false are the ones called fake news.
Here’s some more actual news. Transgenders kill themselves at a much higher rate than the general population. And it’s not because they are not accepted by the community at large. Nearly 42% of transgender kids try to kill themselves, and over 6300 “patients have died from using hormone blockers since 2013 – many of them children.
That almost sounds like an epidemic. One encouraged by who? Oh, yeah, Democrats.
