Data Point – Nationally, There are Now more Registered Republicans than Democrats

As many of you, our loyal readers, know, I have been an Independent for a number of years now. Ever since NH GOP elected politicians decided that expanding the cost of Government, the intrusiveness of Government, the size of Government, and going along with Obama’s Obamacare in the form of Medicaid Expansion, was a bridge way, WAY too far for me to go.

So I left – not in my name will I allow you to do these things.

I did, however, tell present NH GOP Chair Steve Stepanek that if he has success with his business plan (imagine that – bringing capitalist techniques to politics), I’d consider returning. If I saw an enthusiasm similar to (or exceeding) that of the TEA Party movement, I’d consider returning. If I saw movement to actually taking the Conservative Platform planks of the NH GOP seriously by said elected Politicians with an R after their name, I’d consider returning.

I’m not the only one.

From Gallup:

Repubs vs Dems Registration

So, after voting in the Republican Presidential Party last week, I did something that I haven’t done in years – after putting my ballot through the AccuVote machine (paper and pencil, baby!), I did NOT return to the Supervisor of the Checklist and un-enroll.

So, now I’m a Republican again. So I helped move that needle above.  Let’s see if they can keep me.

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom and how the Government is taking that away. As an evangelical Christian and Conservative with small "L" libertarian leanings, my fight is with Progressives forcing a collectivized, secular humanistic future upon us. As a TEA Party activist, citizen journalist, and pundit!, my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture.
