We now know with relatively high confidence why the lefty media has been so protective of Lt Col. Alexander Vindman. He appears to be a leaker and it looks like he is also a liar.

Witness Vindman appeared before the Democrat House Star Chamber on impeachment & circuses (sometimes referred to as the Intelligence Committee). Under questioning, a few things became clear; that LTC Vindman and Rep Schiff lied, not that we were not clear as Ukrainian Vodka on the latter point.
“Lieutenant Colonel Vindman, did you discuss the July 25 phone call with anyone outside the White House on July 25 or the 26 and if so, with whom?” Republican Rep. Devin Nunes of California inquired.
“Yes. I did,” Vindman answered in the affirmative.
Vindman admitted to speaking to two individuals. When asked about with whom he communicated, Vindman coughed up one name. George Kent. You remember George. The number two guy at the US embassy in Ukraine. The heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend guy who signed a letter asking Ukraine to drop investigations into corruption by a Soros backed group and a key source for the DNC/Hillary Campaign FusionGPS Steele Dossier opposition research.
When pressed on the name of the other individual, Lt. Col. Vindman refused to divulge it and was then interrupted by Circus Ring Leader Adam Schiff.
“This committee will not be used to out the whistleblower,” Schiff said.
“Mr. Chairman, I don’t see how this is outing the whistleblower,” Jordan replied. “The witness has testified in his deposition that he doesn’t know who the whistleblower is.”
“You have said — even though no one believes you — you have said you don’t know who the whistleblower is. So how is this outing the whistleblower to find out who this individual is?”
How, indeed, does one “out” someone when they have under oath swore that they do not know the whistleblower unless they lied?

Vindman should be investigated further. It seems probable that he has been leaking to the media from within the President’s National Security Council. With the understanding that his hatred of Trump is irrelevant to any investigation. His motivations do not matter.
Security leaks violate federal law. There is a process for approval, redaction, and release, which leads me back to my opening. The media raced to defend Alexander Vindman the moment his name popped.
They establish a narrative that his service to the country should make him immune to scrutiny, despite years of mauling another Lt. Col., Mike Flynn.
Why?
Scrutiny of any kind would reveal Vindman as a potential national security threat. Removal from the NSC castrates him as a media source – especially if Trump strips his security clearance. And Vindman’s testimony is immediately suspect. More so, now that he has perjured himself.
And this is one of the Democrat’s witnesses.
Is it any wonder Schiff doesn’t want the Republicans to call any of their own?
