If you were to plot the most significant story that wasn’t, you’d have an archive of Media leads for the past three years. The latest nothing burger is a whistle blower-story about a Trump phone call with Ukraine. And it has legs.

Just not the legs the media thinks.
The Ukrainian whistleblower story is the outrage du jour. The next ‘We have you Now’ before the Millenium Falcon zooms in out of nowhere and the media’s TIE fighter spins off into space.
Someone leaked a conversation in which Trump repeatedly asked Ukraine to investigate the Biden Friends and Family crony collusion and intimidation plan. Biden is on tape admitting that he’ll withhold a billion in US aid to that nation if they do not fire a prosecutor investigating Hunter and the Company for which he “worked.”
No scandal. The Media’s never been all that interested in a Democrat administration pressuring foreign governments into dropping criminal probes into the son of the Democrat Vice President.
The whistle-blower claims the President threatened to withhold aid to Ukraine if they didn’t investigate this Biden-Ukraine thing. It’s all over the news. Everyone who is paying any attention (and more than a few people who are not) know something is up with Ukraine.

“He told him that he should work with [Mr. Giuliani] on Biden, and that people in Washington wanted to know” whether allegations were true or not, one of the people said. Mr. Trump didn’t mention a provision of foreign aid to Ukraine on the call, said this person, who didn’t believe Mr. Trump offered the Ukrainian president any quid-pro-quo for his cooperation on an investigation.”
Trump is reported to have asked for cooperation on eight occasions in the same call. But he never asked for or offered anything else. No quid pro quo. But the media ran with that.
Joe Biden did. And now that could become widely known.
Joe Biden threatened Ukraine. Held one billion dollars over their head to, what’s the word I’m looking for…obstruct! an investigation into his son and the Ukrainian fossil fuel company for which he was make-worked as an insider access point to the Obama Administration.
That worked, by the way. Ukraine fired that prosecutor. The guy has been trying to get to the US with piles of evidence.
Trump can read The Hill as well as you or I. He’d like to see some cooperation because before Biden’s quid pro quo (which we know would be bad if Trump did it) other crimes related to Hunter were being investigated. International crime, even. Things that the Obama Administration and the Biden family didn’t want to be made public.
Da Media is still not interested. But they’ve not given up on this Trump thing yet. It’s the newest thing, the next greatest hit, until the next one.
And the weekend just started. Another ‘we have you now!’ moment is long past due as is the truth that always follows. Not that the national media want’s anything to do with that.
They’re just here to help Democrats. I wonder how many people will notice that?
