If you hadn’t heard Universal Pictures has a full-length feature film in the can slated for a September release. It is a liberal fantasy film. Some group hunts human beings for sport. In this spin the ‘prey’ are deplorables.
The entire air of the thing is patently obvious. Some superior species of human being (Democrats) are hunting Trump supporters with firearms. How many scripts by TDS plagued libs did they sift to find the one “they really liked?”
Universal is re-evaluating its strategy for the certain-to-be-controversial satire. The violent, R-rated film from producer Jason Blum’s Blumhouse follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals. The original title for the film had been “Red State Versus Blue State”, making the aggression right upfront — and also a possible sign of the studio softening this conflict in the marketing.
The conflict of ideologies is not even veiled. In one scene a leftist with a gun declares, “At least The Hunt’s coming up. Nothing better than going out to the Manor and slaughtering a dozen deplorables.”
As we’ve reported repeatedly, the Left is party the violent rhetoric. They casually exchange abusive and threatening verbiage with each other and in public about how harming us is necessary for them to “win.” The street thugs, personal attacks and assaults, and endless projection of their unhinged penchant for political terrorism against people who disagree are almost blasé.
The Hunt (2019) In the shadow of a dark internet conspiracy theory, a group of globalist elites gathers for the very first time at a remote Manor House to hunt humans for sport. But the elites’ master plan is about to be derailed because one of the hunted, Crystal, knows the hunters’ game better than they do. She turns the tables on the killers, picking them off, one by one, as she makes her way toward the mysterious woman at the center of it all.
After the Tea Party Revolution, the left got all giddy about a video game called Tea Party Zombies Must Die. The Zombies had names of actual Republicans you could kill, like Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman. But this is a full-length movie.
Yes, the plot, like most horror films with smaller budgets, requires someone to survive and defeat the menace to uncover the secret at the center of it all. And we may still find out.
The Movie’s not dead. They just decided to not release it so soon after two socialist-supremacist nutjobs shot up a Wal-Mart in El Paso and a street in Dayton Ohio. There is some speculation it could come back for a January release.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
