Former NAACP Leader to Democrats – Stop with the Reparations Pandering

Michael Myers is a former Assistant Director of the NAACP and he’s got a message for Democrats. Your reparation schemes are a scam. Knock it off.

“My position is that this reparations debate is old. It’s passé. It’s a scam. It’s a hustle. It was brought up in the 1960s by people who wanted reparations from the churches. And then again from political leaders, from government. It’s fake. I remember in 1990, there was a ‘million youth’ march in Harlem. There weren’t a million people there. Reparations — they call for reparations. They had maybe 20, 25 people there.”

What does Michael really think? “Those Democrats are not mainstream. They’re pandering to black voters. … It’s more of the Blame Whitey Movement. Mania. Madness. And it’s sheer racial rhetoric.”

He has a point. I never owned slaves. No one I know ever was a slave. Sorry, one exception. I know someone who was trafficked. Essentially a sex slave. Both were white if I recall, and I know the victim was. So, we could blame whitey for that.

But no one living now has any responsibility for that on either side of the debate. And Michael Myers agrees.
