Independence Day – A Reminder of Our Daily Battle To Prevent Modern Day Slavery

Betsy Ross Grok

On this Independence Day, our mission is and continues to be to push back against the advance of Leftist priorities regardless of who promotes them. Goals that take your sweat and intellectual equity and convert them into oppression – ideas that make us into slaves of the state.

This quote from JihadWatch sums that idea up nicely.

All over the world today, slaves are seeking slavery. Slaves everywhere are defending and even glorifying slavery. As those who are standing against tyranny continue to be excoriated as enemies of the people, demonized, and marginalized, avoiding slavery will be harder than ever. People everywhere defend oppressors and carry water for bullies and tyrants, and think all the while that they’re serving the cause of freedom.

Jihad Watch enumerates some examples compared to Islamic-fascism, but the concept works just as well for Democrat socialism. They are both supremacy-ideologies. They all end up the same.

A ruling body, to maintain control in any such system, must resort to force. There is no other outcome. In Islam, the authority to govern comes from Allah, in Democrat Socialism, it comes from the State.

Socialism, Fascism, Islamic-Fascism, Communism, Democrat Socialism are all tyrannical forms of top-down rule. They require you to sacrifice your resources and your individual liberty to the government ( or the state). They tell you it is for your own good or the good of some collective, but this is a lie.

It is only for the good of the ruling class, which is how people have been ruled through most of human history.

The Better Way

America’s Independence Day reminds us that there is a better way. It’s not perfect, but it’s better.

At GraniteGrok.com, we defend the ideas and people who espouse the uniqueness of the American Republic and not just because the left is hell-bent on putting an end to it. They are the ideas that lifted more people out of poverty (by allowing them to chart their own path out of poverty) than any known in human existence. Economic prosperity. Opportunity. And yes, the ideas that ended slavery.

The notion that we are all created equal with rights granted not by men but by nature. That government exists to protect those rights – not pick at the edges or manage them out of existence to ensure the supremacy of the State.

For what it’s worth, GraniteGrok will continue to push back and defend the American Experiment, at the local, state, and national level, not because it is perfect, no construct of man will be, but because it is our best hope of retaining our own individual independence.

Without it, we become slaves to the state.
