Such is the keen intellect of Democrat Rep. Sherry Frost. In one tweet she unmasks the left’s flawed argument for civilian disarmament. The fantasy about good guys with guns is hers, but they’ll disarm you anyway. And if you complain they’ll take to Twitter to feed tripe to their liberal followers who want citizen-victims dependent on a government with no obligation to provide them anything.
That’s from Steve’s post on absolute stupidity and unintellectualism of one NH State Rep Sherry Frost. Go read her Twitter feed if you doubt me. Then again, if you don’t want to clean your mind’s eye (and ears) out with industrial strength Drano, don’t – just take our word for it. But that bolded part (by me) screams even more – and “worser”. Let Ian Underwood’s words set the stage quickly and broadly as Democrats were ready to decrease our Constitutional Rights (emphasis mine):
….But I urge the committee to consider a couple of deeper, less obvious consequences, not just of passing a bill like this, but of even bringing it up for consideration. The first is that a bill like this undermines respect for the very rule of law itself. After all, if the legislature isn’t going to respect the limits placed on it by the NH Constitution, then why should individuals respect the limits placed on them by that legislature — whether regarding guns, or schools, or traffic laws, or anything else? If we’re going to disregard the big rules, why pay any attention to the smaller ones?
Read Frost’s words carefully (Steve’s post) – ridicule, a pure Alinsky tactic. Not only do they show contempt those that wish to exercise their Constitutional Rights in defending themselves:
Second Amendment: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
[Art.] 2-a. [The Bearing of Arms.] All persons have the right to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves, their families, their property and the state.
…she is also showing abject contempt for the Constitutions themselves. She is the living embodiment of a Progressive – one who neither respects those that founded this nation and this State, and the precepts they laid down. She also holds in utter contempt anyone that disagrees with her Progressive ilk.
Our Founders believed that their words, their Principles were foundational Law. Many of us still believe that to be true – but Sherry Frost does let the mask slip and slip quite low. Those words are of no account and of no use whatsoever (unless and until it advance their agenda) to her or other Progressives; her own words confirm this (along with most of her other tweets and utterances). Unlike what the founders knew to be true, there are no limits for Progressive governance. And there is no arguing with them or possible discussion. They KNOW they are far better than the truly smart men that wrote them. Limited Government that lets people make their own decisions?
Pffft!
Instead, her words again prove that Progressives believe they are their own Law unto themselves. To heck with anyone else – we’ve got a Utopia to build and guns in civilian hands Constitutions have no place in it. All you need is us. And in echoing the Democrat saying that “Government is the thing we all belong to”, she confirms that worse meaning of “belong”. And, she like it.
Sure, I may be reading a bit into her words – but not much and not that much of a stretch.
