Schadenfreude, Mr. Morgan? Or is that just the scales falling off your eyes?

CNN’s Piers Morgan, the Brit Twit who decided that taking on Pro-Second Amendment folks during the run up to the Senate’s attempt to pass stricter gun laws to boost his ratings (er, #FAIL), is seemingly having a change of mind about it all.  You see, after poo-pooing (or screaming, taking your pick) that that these folks were totally out of their gourds, that the American Government would never turn on the populace, well, see for yourself.  Glad it was Penn Gillete sitting in the other seat!

Transcript:

“I’ve had some of the pro-gun lobbyists on here, saying to me, ‘Well, the reason we need to be armed is because of tyranny from our own government,’ and I’ve always laughed at them,” Morgan said last night. “But, actually, this is vaguely tyrannical behavior by the American government.

Guest Penn Jillette agreed with his assessment: “I think that it shows you that how much we can trust the government and just sit back, which is not very much at all.”

“Not very much at all” – indeed.  We have made sport of Morgan quite a bit lately, but you know, perhaps he may be a salvageable sort.  Piers, just compare the IRS and the DOJ with your Police (who believe those defending themselves against criminals are the bad guys, so it seems) and the “Health and Safety” killjoys (you can’t do this, you can’t do that, and don’t even THINK about this third thing).
