“Scandal Cascade” – this is starting to look like Jimmah is off the hook!

The Bigger the Government, the smaller the citizen

Don’t worry, Jimmah – there’s an even worse dude coming in as your reliever!

I notice that Blue Hampshire has nothing / nada / zilch on the scandals (Front Page / All Posts) that have erupted since Friday stemming from the Obama Administration’s hubris of power – the DOJ going after the media (and expecting nary a sound from the sycophantic media), the IRS going after Conservative groups that held to or espoused to a form of government much less large than now and within a bounded fenced in area, HHS going after cash for Obamacare, the CIA / State Dept brouhaha over who didn’t say when about what concerning letting 4 American civilians get murdered…..a meltdown of super-major proportions.

Nary but a cricket sound from THE bastion of Progressivism here in NH otherwise known as the cheerleading squad  for an ever increasing sized, ever increasing cost, and an ever increasing intrusive Activist Government that rejects the the notion of the Constitutional Republic (re: the rejection of enumerated powers, the activating of an income tax, and regulations that would make the Politboro blush) and a subsuming of the Individual into the Collective (except for in one’s bedroom – except that Sandra Fluke led the movement to demand that our wallets be present).  And, oh yeah, Obamacare, the Progressivism capstone and Obama’s Legacy Schtick, really does seem to be the incipient political train wreck barreling down the tracks as little is operationally ready for the first train station stop in October.  I really do hope that the Law is strictly held up to its own Law (yup, Alinsky’s own Rule to make them live by their own Rule Book – and the Rule Book ain’t a 1/4 done) – and I will admit: I do hope this House of Cards that is little more than a Old Western Town’s facade to the Temple of Progressivism comes tumbling down and tumbles hard.  And before you Progs start screaming “you hateful person”, remember, not a single Republican voted for this pile of legislative doo-doo.  You own it.  You own the economy.  You own the gridlock.  You own everything.

And now, you are about to be blamed for it.  Deservedly so, as Progressivism IS the Root Cause.  Every single bit can be traced down to your philosophy.  Enjoy – and weep.

Not a terribly great time for Progressives, here in NH or anywhere else, as their Main Tenet of Progressivism is that the Activist Government, the Administrative State filled with non-partisan Technocrats who work tirelessly for the good of all and not motivated by ideology, class, beliefs, or Party affiliation, has taken the proverbial dump.  In fact, it pretty much seems it would be a rather sucky time when it seemed like all Republicans were in the process of being wiped from the table just, oh, a week or so ago (such a long time, sob).  And that it has been your own people, Your Brothers and Sisters in Philosophy, that have done this to your pride, your sense of exhilaration, your sense of “steamrollership”.  Karma, baby!  A direct and complete contradiction of Mangy Harry’s belief that [Progressive] “government is inherently good“.

Now that I have that off my chest….we on this end of the political spectrum have often compared to Obama even as we were glumsters and policy after policy of Obama crashed and burned and NOTHING matched the promises made.  Not the unemployment rate, not the deficit, not the politicization of the Government, not the snapping of The Rule of Law into bits, not the shredding of the Constitutional values and boundaries, not high gas prices, not the moribund GDP, not the foreign policy “restarts”….nothing.  It seemed, like the dot com boom, Progressivism could only go higher  – just as the Laws of Economics then, the Laws of Politics seemed to be suspended as Obama floated by.

Like I said – Karma.  “Dust to dust” may be too soon a phrase to use.  For us on the Right, Jimmah Caatah has been the epitome of the Worst President Evah – and Obama has been compared to him constantly, knowing that it has not been HIS skill at getting legislation passed (he is a campaigner par excellence but a zilch otherwise) but others on his philosophical train of like minded sojourners.  Now, His Meanness has another comparison.  One, that while not a Democrat, may be more apt.

Richard Milhous Nixon. Enemies list.  Willingness to use Government not to govern but to destroy his enemies and their ideology.  Watergate.  Hubris of “never being caught”.  Not just by me but LOTS of places, including on Lefty sites as well – well, except of the Obama cheerleaders of Boo-Hoo Hamsters.  Will these scandals end up with legs?  Will they join, morph, and become the political equivalent of Superstorm Sandy?

Yes, dears, Nixon was a Republican.  And no, I was too young to vote for him (almost but not quite) as a Republican.  Yes, I would have either time, as then I only knew that Rs had to win and DIDN’T know the Why’s of philosophy and actions to implement that philosophy.  That said, I have no problem in saying he was the worst Republican President from a morality standpoint in the modern age.  But he did believe he was the be all / end all.

Just like Obama – except now he’s totally caught up in himself.  If this analogy sticks, Obama is the New (and worser?) Nixon, the DC Dems will ignore him and the Rs will taunt him.  If this same intensity stands up for two weeks, that will set the stage for 2014 and Obama will NEVER get a chance to revisit the first two years of his Presidency with a majority Congress having his back.  The optics will forever be fogged.

He has always been Obama first and the one thing I have learned since becoming politically active is that at that level, there is little to no loyalty; there are few that will always put Principles over Re-election.  And if you thought that the Dems ran away from him in 2012, wait two more years.  And the more he remains abandoned, I think the more that the Nixon label will stick.  Why?  He has neither the skill or experience to do other than be a Community Organizer.  His Chicago bred staff only one way as well.  Hope that thin skin of his grows some, or this will get much more fun.  And some in Dem Party agree:

“The AP phone records thing just sealed the deal for what the newest narrative around the Obama administration is going to be. They are the new Nixon admin when it comes to bullying, withholding info and targeting enemies. The right won’t probably call him directly Nixon because you know, Nixon was a Republican, but it will be the basic idea. You will hear claims that there has never been an administration who reached so far to suppress information and dissent. While I don’t think this is actually the full truth, it is hard to not realize this is fully the fault of the administration that perception has gotten to this point. They have a small window- I’d say 2-5 days- to try and turn this around and hold on to a plausible veneer of not being a group of shadowy thugs. But given how tone def they’ve been in the past, my money is on this being the lens through which their next 3.5 years are viewed.

Splendid! The President that has wanted to be known as the “anti-Bullying” President has become exactly what he has preached against – again, Karma.  So much in being against the taunting of bullies, this might be his legacy?

Speaking of taunting – Obama just said to donors that there are Republicans that still are ready to work with him if it weren’t for Rush Limbaugh.  Rush?  Really? At this perfect nexus of three major scandals-unfolding, he’s going to blame Rush?  Just had to include this:

He simply cannot get me off his mind. I live rent free in his head. And he is using me as his convenient excuse for not being able to get anything done. He really thinks the Republicans would work with him if it weren’t for me. So he’s telling these Hollywood people — and you gotta understand, they’re sitting there and they’re very sympathetic, and they love Obama, and they want Obama to succeed. I’m the guy who said, “I hope he fails.” So Obama’s sitting there and he’s telling these Hollywood people, “You know, this Limbaugh guy, this Limbaugh guy… If it weren’t for this Limbaugh guy, Good Lord, look what I could get done!” … Now, let’s be honest, folks. Who am I? I’m a guy on the radio. I am your beloved host, El Rushbo. I’m a guy on the radio. The fact remains that the truth of the matter is, by his own admission, I am the opposition to Barack Obama.

Obama just keeps handing Rush all the ammo he wants…
