Tax and Spend Democrats Getting Ready to Raise Your Taxes…if you let them

We already told you about the New Hampshire Democrat’s Legislative Service Request for an Income tax.  There is also another; Democrat Chuck Weed is looking to raise the beer tax. (LSR 136)  And now there are murmurings about the need to raise New Hampshire’s gas tax.   And a cigarette tax would be a given.   Regressive taxes that punish lower and middle income citizens.  That’s just what a limping economy needs, more taxes.

If it is anything like last time there will be little or no effort by Democrats to look for the money  in existing spending.  New Hampshire Democrats assume it is untouchable.  That waste is not an issue, or not worth looking for.  Why “waste” time trying to cut out duplicitous spending or to invest in efficiencies.  The first order of business is always to find new ways to separate you from more of your money, as if you don’t need it.

That was how the New Hampshire Democrats governed last time.  They grew general state spending by almost 25%, adding about $2,000,000,000.00 to the cost of state government in just a few short years, during a down economy.

But it does tell you something.  If you elect them in November, they’ll just fire up the tax and spend bus and start picking your pockets all over again.  You got two billion you can spare?  Does the New Hampshire Economy have it?  Is this really the right time to be raising taxes.

It is not.

Vote Republican, because it is your money.
