EMail Doodlings – Presidential warning still relevant

On one of the email lists I’m on, there was a discussion concerning the candidates just before the NH First In The Nation Primary – the typical thing of folks boasting of their candidates and who was better than the other guys.  I took a different tack in trying to point out what the end goal should back then in early January, but the warning is still relevant for those scared for our country:

Your daily dose of knuckle rapping and snark deliberately delivered by the dufus….

….AND, once again, we are back to the  conundrum of “there is NO single candidate without flaws”….yes, NO one.  Not a single one in the lot.  Even the guy I was backing, Herman, had flaws.  Even Ron Paul has flaws – maybe not to his supporters, but to the rest of us (and just as big as those pointed out earlier).

Remember one thing – OUR GOAL IS TO BEAT OBAMA.  Period.

Let’s be clear – very few of “us” may get the candidate we really would prefer [in the primary].  The question is, are you going to go sulk and let Obama drive our country into Oblivion?  After all, EVEN AS CONGRESS IS NOT in Recess, he made a recess appoint to an unaccountable, unelected, self-funding, non-oversight committee that is anti-free market, pro-crony capitalism, and pro-HUGE Government command and control (Richard Cordray to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau).

Not the only goal but it IS the overarching goal…..and if it isn’t, WHY the heck are we bothering with an election in the first place??

I’m NOT saying to NOT support your candidate – this IS the time to support them.  I just want EVERYONE, now that the meat of the campaign has arrived, to keep everything in context and keep things in perspective…..  And when the primary is over, the goal is still to eject Obama from the Oval Office Chair.

Even *I* will vote for Ron Paul if he is the nominee even as he scares the living daylights out of me on his foreign policy if they were to be implemented fully (like some, just not most).  But yes, I would vote for him.
The problem I see is that if he is NOT the nominee, most Ron Paul folks will go sulk in the corner and not vote or do a protest vote against the nominee.

And the way Obama is now starting to govern, how much of our country be left after 4 more years, EVEN WITH majorities in the House and Senate – since Obama is just ignoring them?  I am absolutely serious on this – I am willing to put aside the perfect to vote for the “decent default”, but what about the Ron Paul (or others) supporters?  Don’t mean work for, campaign for, scream for, argue for, or send money to – just pull the lever for the nominee if not Ron Paul?

Or if not,  then be willing to accept responsibility (in part) for what happens afterwards if you don’t vote for the nominee?”

One person responded that “Also, I’m as scared of the Obama administration as anyone here, but I don’t think our country will cease to exist in the next 4 years unless we defeat him”

He’s gone through the motions when he had absolute majorities in both the House and the Senate.  Since then, he has made Administrative ruling after ruling under the rubric of “We Can’t Wait” for a broken Congress (his term) to “get stuff done”.  This “Constitutional Scholar”knows that the Founders created such a process so as to keep it “broken” when ideas and bills are so unpopular that they cannot pass.  And he is pushing on the accelerator harder and harder.

He just made a “recess” appointment to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (as I mentioned earlier) – and 3 “recess” appointments to the NLRB.

So, the fact that Congress is NOT in recess say anything to you about what Obama and his plans to “fundamentally transform the United States” any way he can, knowing that it can never go back?  He is going to, more and more, rule as a King – he just kicked sand in the face of the House and the Senate with respect to their Constitutional duties and mandates.  Do you really think he cares?  If you do, you’re delusional?  He is going to do EXACTLY what our worst fears are – and he’ll be laughing all the way.

This will not be the land of the free and limited government in 4 more years if he gets another term.  Even if he is kicked out, I have doubts that the Rs will roll a lot of stuff back, but of him, I am scared a mighty.

Thus, I will pull the lever of whomever is the R nominee.  And frankly, I don’t think you are scared enough….

Since then, Obama’s habit of ignoring Congress and established law has become more frequent and more blatant.  Banana Republic dictators do that.  Kings do that.  Emperors do that.  Despots do that.  Law abiding Servant – Leaders do not.

I AM sufficiently scared.
