The next to last speaker Friday night was the US Senator from South Dakota, John Thune. If nothing else, he rates high on my list because he took out Tom Dashle – the incumbent Democrat who was the leading Democrat in the Senate at the time (and who, when Obama chose him to be a close advisor, had to bow out because of having a similar tax problem similar to that of US Treasury Secretary Timothy “Turbo Tax” Geithner). After his talk, he presented the AFP/NH Conservative of the Year Award to NH’s Kelly Ayotte:
