Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em

Smoke 'Em If You Got 'EmI haven’t written a post about energy for almost a week so I’ll keep this one short.

Greene Shaheen, Carol CO2-Porter, and Paul ‘Carbon Credits’ Hodes, all support massive taxation on emissions because without them, we are doomed…doomed I tell you DOOMED!  So doomed that  Hodes and Porter at least, voted for a remedy that doesn’t do anything except make energy cost more while enriching energy companies, corporate farms, green energy companies in China, themselves, and the government.  But they insist it’s to save the earth.

Don’t be surprised, they are full of crap.

Without bothering to revisit all the actual science, let us simplify the debate.  They claim CO2 is bad because some scientists told them it was.  When those scientist turned out to be frauds the greenies shifted to "pollution."  Same solution by the way, just a different word, still no actual evidence.

Don’t be surprised, they are still full of crap. Pollution has been declining for decades, CO2 is irrelevant.

According to Environmental Protection Agency data, U.S. air quality today is significantly better than it was in 1980. Since 1980, airborne concentration of carbon monoxide is down 79%, lead is down 92%, nitrogen dioxide is down 46%, ozone is down 25%, and sulfur dioxide is down 71%.

Carbon particulates have been tracked for fewer years, but PM10 particulates are down 31% since 1990 and PM2.5 particulates are down 19% since 2000. Over the same period, electricity consumption from coal-fired power plants rose 72% and vehicle miles driven are up 91%.

No Crap and Trade bill, no US Kyoto bill (for any of the major so-called emitters) and global ‘Pollution’ and CO2 have been declining for decades.  Oh, and there is no valid connetion to CO2 and temperature so the democrats are either outrageously gullible, or evil socialist swine–more than likley a combination of both–but in either case not the kind of people you let run your country.

So?  After we stop the assault on liberty, we need to crank up domestic energy production, drill for oil in all the wrong places, ramp up refining capacity, and make it easier and cheaper to expand nuclear.  Put more simple, Smoke em if you got em.
