Mayors Against Illegal Guns Has Ties to Money Trail That Leads to Progress NOW

The money trail used by gun-grabbers and anti-second amendment liberal/progressive Democrats to buy influence and peddle failed out of state policy through groups like Granite State Progress is becoming a bit more clear.

There has been a great deal of financial activity between a trio of deep pocketed Liberal anti-self defense groups.  Mayors Against Illegal Guns (MAIG), which is the Bloomberg (and Boston Mayor Menino) group that just shamed themselves in Concord, New Hampshire a few weeks back.  United Against Illegal Guns (UAIG) is a New York, NY based anti-gun money funnel.   And the third group is The Joyce Foundation, on whose board President Obama once served.  The Joyce Foundation is well funded by Liberal millionaires and billionaires and supports a manifold of left-wing policy ideas of which one is the disarming of Americans in any way possible.

You’ll be happy to know that this trail has tendrils that lead to groups working right here in New Hampshire.  Groups that helped coordinate the Bloomberg Bus ‘No More Names’ Tour visit.

The New Hampshire Citizens Alliance (NHCA) and the New Hampshire Citizens Alliance for Action (NHCAA) have been pretending to operate as a grassroots, non-partsian, group with tax exempt status for years.  This is not only untrue it is virtually impossible.

The NHCA and NHCAA are the local chapter of USAction which..

… empowers our state affiliates by providing funding, training and leadership development.  We also work in partnership with our affiliates to develop strategic national civic engagement and issues-based campaigns.

To what end?  Well, USAction used to be very up front about that but they have since scrubbed their website to hide the fact they are proud to be “The Nations largest progressive activist organization.”    An activist organization that funds and trains affiliates (NHCA/HNCAA) to do what?  Well, they used to be upfront about that as well.  Take a look at the list and see if you can guess why they scrubbed it…

Lunch Racists Bail On Michelle-O

School districts from LA to NY are complaining and now a few of them are taking matters into their own hands.

“We’re eating more junk food, now, than last year”, a student from the Los Angeles Unified School District explained in December of 2011.

We’re talking about Michelle Obama’s Healthy Kids Hungry act, passed by lame-duck Democrats in the waning days after the Democrats got mauled in the 2010 elections.  It sucked then.  It sucks now.

The Government limits the choices by force of law but human nature (and natures laws) trump man made laws every time so the kids end up skipping the Michelle-O in favor of quick alternatives.   So the law effectively creates more harm because it presumes to know the minds, tastes, and needs of everyone everywhere, as viewed from the backs of nutrition unicorns prancing around inside the blue bubbles that pass for “the way the whole world thinks according to progressive busy-bodies.”

Man Does Something Stupid – Suffers For It.

hb336 would ban some fireworks in NHDoubleyouemyouare News Nine in NH is reporting an incident in which a 48 year old Tilton, NH man had to be hospitalized after (unintentionally?) stopping a firework with his face.  While details are sketchy–was he sober, did he lose his balance, was he pushed, did a YouTube video make him place his face over the tube when it discharged–his physical injuries were not life threatening.

We here at GraniteGrok hope for his quick and complete recovery.  It probably hurt like hell, and may have resulted in permanent eye injury (we hope not), and there is very likely been or will be someone in his life telling him they told him so…for the rest of his life, maybe…because the experience of being the victim or the observer, had to be frightening, and that doesn’t just go away.  You have to let it out somehow. But you have know when you owned it.

The only thing more frightening would be having to again suffer through the nearly perennial effort (by those just looking for any excuse) to introduce more state regulations and oversight of the entire populace because of one (or even just a few) fireworks accidents that were the result of less than stellar behaviors on the part of the victim or those nearby.

Gabby Giffords Brought To New Hampshire By….Granite State Progress.

The local New Hampshire franchise of the Minnesota based radical left wing group Progress Now is living up to its mission statement;  24/7/365 progressive activism.  First it’s Newtown victims, then it is the Bloomberg bus, and now they’ve dragged Gabby Giffords to the Granite State in the latest in their series of high-profile efforts to intimidate anyone who will listen, into allowing Washington DC to write our gun laws for us.

Funny thing about that?  DC is one of the most dangerous, crime-riddled places in America to live or visit.  New Hampshire is one of the safest.

So why would we want to let out of state funded groups like GraniteState Progress, force us to let the “experts” in DC tell us how to legislate in pursuit of low crime and homicide rates when we already have the lowest homicide rate in the country and theirs is one of the highest?  Shouldn’t they be emulating us?

De Coup Coup Coup…Good Bye Bye Bye, Is All I Want To Say To You. [Updated]

The Egyptian military has removed Mohammed Morsi as President and suspended the Constitution.  The head of the Constitutional Court will serve as an interim leader while new elections are scheduled.  The military also indicated that changes made to the Egyptian Constitution by Morsi would be rolled back.

The military has publicly announced its coup and instructed the people to continue their peaceful protests as credible leaders are gathered to form a more diverse government that represent all of the people.  Violent protests, however, will be met with force.
