A
Drunk ranking Democrat House Rep from Nashua, David Campbell (D-Quack!), mows down some Mallards in his BMW in front of the Crown Plaza Hotel. He hears the police are on route so he hightails it to his law office about 1000 feet from that same hotel.
He calls Nashua City Police Commissioner and longtime friend, Thomas Pappas, who drives to Campbell’s law office (1000 feet from where police have probably already arrived), picks him up, leaves the scene, and hides him. He then waits for a shift change (until after midnight–two hours later) to call the cops who (work for him) to ask if they want to talk to to David Campbell about the incident at the hotel
The officer on the case has already gone home, Campbell is sleeping it off at an undisclosed location, and never gets around to calling police until 18 hours after the Ducks died.
So why bring it up…again? The New Hampshire State Supreme Court maintains “rules of conduct and discipline” that Thomas Pappas has probably violated.
