Democrat Donors “Biggest Threat To The Democracy”…If ‘Activists’ Are To Be Believed

Keeping ‘corporate’ money out of politics is a Democrat agenda item, so whenever “activists” bring it up two things are evident.

First, Democrats are behind it and paying for it.

Second, by ‘Corporate’ money they do not mean, as Grokster Susan Olsen observed, Corporations…” like the Service Employees International Union (SIEU), a 501(c)(5) tax-exempt corporation. Or the American Federation of Teachers Union, another 501(3)(5) tax-exempt corporation. Or maybe NEA-NH, a 501(c)(6) tax-exempt corporation? Or maybe the Town of Warner, in-freaking-corporated in 1735?”

Unions, who already pay no taxes (see also–do not contribute to funding that which the candidates they elect advocate) are never included in demands to end the ‘big money threat’ to Democracy.

So when you read this, keep that in mind, and then take a look at who the biggest ‘Threats” to the Democracy really are.

Maureen Quinn says big money in politics is a threat to democracy. And she hopes her fellow Deerfield residents will join her Tuesday in supporting a warrant article asking federal and state leaders to put a stop to it.

The Deerfield warrant article calls on the state Legislature to seek a constitutional amendment that guarantees the right of citizens and representatives to regulate political spending and “clarifies that constitutional rights were established for people, not corporations.”

If being incorporated is such a threat to Democracy, Democrats had best start looking for new sources of campaign funding…

Unions (corporations) crowd the top twelve donors, and account for 75% of the so-called ‘Threat to our Democracy”   with the top three donors, all Unions, accounting for 50% of that polluting 75% Liberal campaign donation figure.

While we are looking at the polluting effect of big money, if you look at donors by industry, which will include a lot of businesses that are incorporated or people who have accumulated their wealth with paychecks from corporations, which means it is also corporate money, guess who presents the biggest “threat to Democracy?”

Isn’t it good to know that 78% of the top twelve groups threatening Democracy with big money give almost all of the money to Democrats?

And if you look at the top 75 groups, not just the top 12, Democrats still receive 73% of all campaign donations from ‘Big Money,’ also known as–that threat to Democracy.

So as you trundle off to town meeting, when presented with any warrant articles aimed at sending a message with regard to the dismantling of “corporate donations” to political campaigns and their threat to our democracy, make sure you ask if they mean all “corporations,” or are unions, who spend more than anyone on elections and pay no taxes by the way, excluded?
