Out of the Mainstream on Guns Freaks

Hey, you fringe, wacko, out of the mainstream on gun types, you better get with the program and take a stand for what is right.  Stand up to the powerful politicians who are beholden to special interests and lobbying groups and are against the American people.  Ask yourself if your stance on guns is really … Read more

“Inclusive Excellence” – Making Future Generations Incapable of Defending Free Speech

freedom_of_speech
UWM’s embrace of Inclusive Excellence should remind us that UNH never really let go

This past July the University of New Hampshire came under fire for its Bias-Free Language Guide. The Guide, produced under the University’s Inclusive Excellence program (which STILL has its Facebook page, don’t-ya-know), was ordered removed by UNH President Mark Huddleston after a national media pig-pile of stories.

You will be hard pressed to find the words inclusive and excellence next to each other and in that order on the UNH website. But you will find them over at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) where their Inclusive Excellence Center is using something called a ‘Just Words’ Campaign to declare the use of terms like ‘Politically Correct’ (or just PC), as microaggressions.

Rich Girard refuses to sign “early education” pledge from Washington, DC PAC

Rich-Girard
Rich-Girard

Rich is running for the Manchester School Board (Board of School Committee) and recently refused to sign a pledge from a DC PAC to support universal Pre-K. His opponents are attacking him so it is important that his letter explaining his reasons gets as much air as possible.

In response to a solicitation from a Washington, DC based political action committee seeking “early childhood education” pledges from candidates running for local office, Manchester school board at-Large candidate Rich Girard released his answer.

Dear Chris and Meryl:
Thank you for presenting your Statement of Principles and requesting my support.  As the father of five, I am obviously interested in how best to educate children and know from my own experience that each child is unique in their abilities and in how they learn.

While I would like to sign your Statement of Principles, I find myself with more questions than answers, assertions without reference, a school district that has struggled for years with its existing pre-school program, the questionable results of the Head Start program nationwide and the opinions and analyses of many experts that don’t agree with the solutions proposed by your organization to the issues raised.

Asset Forfeiture Reform Advances In NH House

One of the most unadvertised law enforcement practices in New Hampshire, and across the nation, is civil asset forfeiture. This is when the people enforcing the law charge your property with a crime without ever actually charging you with one. You are a person of interest but your property is placed into protective custody where it enters the fiscal equivalent of witness protection. It gets a new name and a new life as the property of the agency or agencies who seized it.

You are never charged with a crime but your property is serving  life, and good luck “breaking it out.”

Homeland and Clockhmed Are Both ‘Moving’

Mark Steyn notes how Homeland has removed the word Security when it suits the narrative… Nonetheless, like Niqab Girl, Clock Boy has taught us all a valuable lesson with his droll and spectacularly successful provocation. The US Department of Homeland Security’s slogan is “If You See Something, Say Something” – unless it’s something that might get … Read more

Shaheen Gal-Pal Hill-Rod Approved Weapons Shipments Despite UN Ban

Washington Times | The State Department initially approved a weapons shipment from a California company to Libyans seeking to oust Moammar Gadhafi in 2011 even though a United Nations arms ban was in place, according to memos recovered from the burned-out compound in Benghazi. What Bernie Sanders Wants for America

bernie-sanders
How do we pay for it? It’s easy. We take your stuff…uh, I mean their stuff…

Sanders is possessed of the ancient 20th century Nordic “tradition” of the socialist paradise. He loves him some “modern” Swedish economics, see also Socialism the Third Way. He may also think those Lads from Liverpool are still on tour and he’s just waiting for them to come ’round so he can see the show.

Sorry Sanders, the Beatles are not on tour and your love affair with the Swedish model of central planning is also so last century, kind of like you.

Patriots Grumble Thread – Week 6

nfl week 6 pats colts
Colts guarantee their inclusion on an NFL blooper reel until the end of time…

Due to circumstances well within my control I did not watch the game against the Colts until last night. Good game. The Colts looked better, and Andrew Luck appeared more capable in this outing, though given their division, Indianapolis could probably go 8-8 and find its way to another playoff loss against the Patriots come January.

As for the Patriots, the much sought after blow-out did not materialize (NE 34 – Indy 27), primarily because both Brady and his receivers had some problems with ball control.

Six Things We Learned About The Democrats Last Week

From “Six Things we learned about the Democrats last week“ (after their debate) Robert Tracinski offers a list that ends with no room for old-school democrats like poor ole Jim Webb. Among Democrats who believe unabashedly in a big government utopia, who no longer make much pretense of caring about economic growth or national security, and … Read more
