What Hillary Wants for America

Hillary said she wants a gun buy-back like Australia, but that was a mandatory confiscation. The government ponied up some cash but there was nothing optional about it. Making all of Australia a gun free zone had the expected effect, but not the one Hillary or any other Democrat promises. Gun owners in Australia were … Read more

How Did I “Fix” The Caucus?

603 alternate banner

We had a great time at the caucus yesterday. I’ll be posting a cleaned up version of GrokTALK! later today – we did the 2 hour program from the 39 degree Durgen Pulling Arena.  Then we watched the caucus process unfold from check in to the final vote.

For the record, almost none of the 603 Alliance committee voted. In fact, I think only Skip and I sat in the stands for a candidate and I waited until the end. Fiorina did make a third place showing but it was obvious she lacked the numbers to corral enough attendees to win the majority grassroots voters unless a large number from one of the other two moved before the next vote. So, yeah, I voted for Cruz.

He was higher up on my list than Dr. Carson.

Ted Cruz Wins 603 Alliance GPS Caucus

It came down to Carly, Carson, and Cruz.  They did the most work, they encouraged their supporters to attend and turn out was great, but in the end Ted Cruz attracted the most attendees at the Caucus. Effort won the day. Over 700 grassroots activists turned out and they all saw who put in the effort. … Read more

The 603 Alliance Offered Campaigns “Equality of Opportunity.”

603 alternate banner 4

From early on in the planning stages the 603 Alliance wanted every Republican Presidential Primary Campaign, no matter how big or how small, to hold their own rally outside before the caucus this Saturday. We expended no small amount of time discussing the rules for that. Tent sizes, how many tents, could they bring food, and so on.

We invited the campaigns, and told them to bring supporters. We offered to let them speak to the voters. We offered to play a pre-recorded message from them to the assembled voters. The more conservative and libertarian minded campaigns heard from the 603 Alliance, repeatedly, with the opportunity.

Sooner or Later One Kind of Authoritarianism Leads to Another

Sanders socialism/ communism

David Harsanyi at the Federalist, explores the problem of Democrat/Socialists promoting an economic model with a history they choose to ignore.

In practice, of course, there’s not any difference between a Democratic Socialist and a Progressive Democrat — Hillary’s preferred designation these days — other than, perhaps, the speed at which one wants to work. (Ask her to explain the difference.) Sanders likes to stress the distinction between a Democratic Socialist and your commonplace authoritarian. But state coercion against individuals, even with the blessing of a majority, is still state coercion.

ObamaCare Bankrupts TN School District – “Cost-Curve” Forces Them to Close

school-closed

You read that right. The Affordable Care Act’s “cost-curve” and regulatory rules have made insuring teachers and staff so “affordable” that the school can no longer afford to operate.

In an AP report, Clay County Director of Schools Jerry Strong said the school board made its decision to cancel classes because of budget issues that are related to government mandates that the district can’t afford.

No “1000-Year Flooding” After All But Don’t Expect ‘Da Media’ to Report That Truth

No epic flodding but the media damage is done

USGS has pulled the plug on the “1000 year” rainfall/flooding meme pitched by the media which is fine by them. The damage is already done. They milked that Climate cow and sent it off to pasture. They simply wont report the scientific clarification by an acknowledged “expert” and people will go on thinking that cheap, affordable energy caused epic warming-induced liquid misery for millions.

Not true.

Patriots Grumble Thread – Week 5

Hardy Sacks Brady

After their by-week the New England Patriots rolled in to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas prepared for a defense the Cowboy’s didn’t bring. Instead of their traditional 4-3 they switched up to a  3-2, a defense the Patriots had not practiced for; they suffered for it through most of the first-half. Brady was sacked 5 times in the first quarter. But they worked it out. The half ended with New England up 13-3 thanks to changes that added some late second quarter breathing room as the offense began to adapt to what the Dallas defense was doing.

As We Celebrate “Indigenous Peoples’ Day”…

As we celebrate “indigenous Peoples’ Day,” colloquially referred to in some outdated circles as Columbus Day, remember; the same people pushing for “indigenous peoples’ day” (because Columbus Day represents centuries of aggression by undocumented European invaders) demand open borders so that the undocumented Spanish speaking descendants of the Conquistador’s can invade America. Just saying. Another … Read more
