Forrester is Not the Best Pro-Life Candidate In the Race for Governor of New Hampshire

Jeanie-Forrester
She’s not the most conservative candidate either…

Jeanie Forrester is promoting herself as having a 100% rating from New Hampshire Right to Life. In a past political life, that may have been true. But in the last session, State Senator Forrester did not take the 100% life position. NHRTL President Jane Cormier (a friend of mine and a contributor here at GraniteGrok) took to the pages of the Union Leader to question Forrester’s claims and to clarify the group’s 2016 endorsement in the New Hampshire Republican Primary for Governor.

To the Editor: Although ethics in the world of politics seems to be virtually extinct, the truth is still the truth. It is imperative New Hampshire have a true conservative in the corner office in 2017. New Hampshire Right to Life-PAC (NHRTL-PAC) has endorsed Rep. Frank Edelblut. Frank Edelblut is a true conservative who holds a stellar liberty voting record in our State House.

Another gubernatorial candidate, Jeanie Forrester, maintains on her campaign literature that she holds a 100 percent rating from NHRTL. This is categorically not true.

Mike Rowe Dissects Media Narrative Bias Toward Trump Voters

There is a media narrative about uneducated white men supporting Trump. Mike Rowe, when asked, was happy to talk us through it. Let’s assume that Donald Trump is indeed popular among white men who didn’t graduate from college. The first question is, so what? Is this information newsworthy? Obviously, thousands of journalists think it is. … Read more

Chris Sununu Donated $500.00 to Democrat Elected Speaker Shawn Jasper

One of Chris Sununu’s “investments” in New Hampshire’s future was a $500.00 donation to Democrat Elected New Hampshire House Speaker Shawn Jasper. Yes. The ‘Republican’ who caucused with Democrats to rob the Republican caucus of the Speakers chair and then proceeded to repay NH Democrats for the favor. That Shawn Jasper. Chris Sununu gave $500.00 … Read more

Calling Out Republican House Rep. Susan Emerson

missing in actionLarry Cleveland (who is on a mission to save Rindge, NH), writing in the Keene Sentinel, observes that Rep. Susan Emerson’s ‘recent record’ is not conservative. It’s not. After her second term, she went native.

Larry has made a note of this and said as much and Emerson, who is incapable of accepting criticism, doesn’t care for Larry’s accounting.

According to the website House Republican Alliance (nhhra.org), her rating in 2008 was at 100 percent. I supported her then, and voted for her. In 2012, her rating got as low as 37 percent. Now, in 2016, it is 48.1 percent. This means she votes against the party platform 51.9 percent of the time. Maybe more important is her attendance.

Hillary State Department Fast Tracked Loan for Corrupt Foundation Donor

Maggie Hassan’s role model has been exposed again for more pay-to-play corruption while Sec-o-State.

Hillary’s State Department fast-tracked a $10 million dollar government loan to a Clinton Foundation donor to build homes in Haiti. The donor used your money to prop up other scams. Not one home was built.

The bigger story is that, despite Osorio’s shady history, it appears that the Clinton State Department helped him get $10 million—which will never be repaid—because he was a Clinton Foundation donor. This connection was not made until years after Osorio got sentenced. After his 2013 sentencing in Miami, the area’s largest newspaper tied him to the Clintons and President Obama as a campaign donor who held fundraisers at his waterfront home, but the foundation was not mentioned.

Some Ideas Don’t Seem Like They Will Ever Work Because, People!

drug use heroinTheodore Dalrymple has some excellent thoughts on decriminalizing or legalizing drugs and why some ideas don’t seem like they will work because, people!

The philosophic argument is that, in a free society, adults should be permitted to do whatever they please, always provided that they are prepared to take the consequences of their own choices and that they cause no direct harm to others. The locus classicus for this point of view is John Stuart Mill’s famous essay On Liberty: “The only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of the community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others,” Mill wrote. “His own good, either physical or moral, is not a sufficient warrant.”

Is Planned Parenthood Killing Off Ride Services for Seniors?

community alliance trans servA government-backed bus service for seniors in Sullivan County, New Hampshire, is scheduled to stop running on September 9th because it will run out of money. According to the Union Leader, the ‘non-profit’ needs $775,000.00 a year to stay operational, and in the past money has come primarily from the Feds via the NHDOT and Sullivan County.

To be honest, I’m not sure why the feds are involved. We waste a fortune at the state level that could just as easily be directed toward other programs.
