Voice of Democracy – Fellowship Christian Academy: Grace!

Voice of Democracy – a project of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; a competition for high schools on patriotism and civics.  As a reminder, the ‘Grok met up with these students from Fellowship Christian Fellowship at Ovide Lamontagne’s "Return to Red" event in Manchester last week.  During our live interview, it came out that they were all participating in the project and they agreed to share their work with us all.

Does my generation have a role in America’s future?

On September 8, 1776, a man named Nathan Hale volunteered to spy on the British troops for George Washington during a British takeover in New York City.  Disguising himself as a Dutch schoolteacher, he had almost made it across the British lines when he was discovered.  At the time, hanging was the punishment for spying, so on September 22, 1776, at his execution, he told the British, “I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.” Hale was only twenty-one years old.

Does my generation have a role in America’s future? Some people may argue that we don’t, because all the “big” people in our government are much older and wiser than we are. The President must be at least thirty-five, not a young teenager.  What could young people do to help America’s future?

Yesterday – a rejection of Progressivism

No, I did not have a wonderful time 2 years ago.  Obama lied and the media hid his true background as a Socialist and Communist sympathizer.  His Daddy was an avowed Communist, his Mommy was a committed sympathizer and his Grandparents (why didn’t Mom & Dad raise little bitty Hussein?) were declared Socialists.  Fact.  Look it up.
 
Two of his closest Advisors?  Saul Alinsky (an avowed Socialist) and a convicted Terrorist who planted a bomb that killed a Policeman and has never renounced his admitted terrorist background.  Ayers is his name and he would have you believe he’s all better now.  Oh how I wish he would go look the Policeman’s wife and kids in their eyes and make that same statement today. And let us not forget the oh so very Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a raging crazy lunatic of the Fringe Left who was never truly vetted by our "major media" even though all the warning signs sat out there in plain view.

The chains of Tyranny come not just from the barrel of a gun

A recent friend, Dave Batchelder, had called me the other day concerning an event and had some questions.  During the conversation, he mentioned that he has "an outfit" that he has been wearing to some of the event lately.  Part of it is a shiny hard hat with an American Flag design, about 50 lbs of heavy chains on his shoulders, and an American Flag on a pole.

This is not a guy to trifle with – he could snap me in two with his little pinkies!  Anyways, he tried to describe the artwork on the shirt he wears – his designer sent it to me.

Pretty much sums up what ordinary people were thinking as they voted yesterday.  With a crushing blow against Progressives, we have made the first steps in taming the Leviathan.

New Hampshire is at a crossroads!

On November 2nd, Election Day, we will have a clear choice as to which road to take at this critical time in our state’s history.

The question is, do we want to take the same old road that Governor Lynch and the majority controlled Democrats have led us down for the last six years, which are higher taxes and fees, added regulations, more spending of your hard earned money, while continuing to increase the size of government and ignoring our New Hampshire constitution? Or do we want to consider a new road that will lead us in a new direction, and put a halt to the out of control spending, reduce  taxes and fees, stop the insane regulations that are killing our small businesses and run a leaner more efficient state government, while upholding and living by our New Hampshire Constitution.

If you are like me and thousands of other NH voters you are upset at the debt we are incurring and leaving to our children and grandchildren, which is unbelievable and certainly unsustainable both in Concord and Washington, DC. But today I will focus my thoughts on NH and leave Washington, DC for another time.
